Conservative Christian caught in compromising position. - Page 6

I think GSDAdmin is speaking to the hypocrisy of Christians, saying and preaching one thing, then doing another.  He is exactly right.

We are supposed to be the light of the world, the salt.  We (at least the majority of us) are very hard to pick out from a crowd of worldly types.  We are indeed hypocrites, and saying that we are all sinners doesn't cut it.

Sure we can have fleeting nasty thoughts but we are not supposed to act on them. We are supposed to obey the God we profess to follow.  I heard one minister say that the commandment - Thou shalt not say thy Lords name in vain, isn't speaking to swearing, but to professing to be one, yet acting totally unlike Him.  There are no grey areas here.  We cannot serve two masters.

I think, when Jesus comes again, many "Christians" are in for a real eye opener and that day isn't far off.

Not hardly, I have always claimed the biggest turn off for me on religion is on Sunday here are all the nice people in their nice clothes doing all their nice things and come Monday all bets are off and they are back to swearing, whoring and all the nice things the hypocrites do so well.

Jesus, won't come again but plenty of people will fall for a fake because they are so brainwashed into having hope that it will happen. Sad really and life and death are so simple made extemely difficult by those that preach love and foregiveness but serve a God who doesn't by the words of the bible.

Excitable? (rolls eyes). Have all the opinions you want but please don't try and guess why I am posting something because that becomes more than an opinion and starts to delve into trying to know my motivations for posting a news story.

BTW, Red Sable you are pretty spot on with your post about my thoughts as I posted this story.

It was just very odd how adultery morphed into gay marriage, regarding a supposedly Christian perspective. I would say the more important thing is, don't forget this guy is a politician first.
