The thing is I love a good debate and Carlin sure has given me the opportunity to debate with a great debater. But it went bad when all of a sudden my words are being switched around and only half of what I said are being used to try and make me out to be this really bad person. I don't much appreciate the spin and twisting of the meaning of what I am saying.
It is proven in this very thread that things were being switched around and whole quotes weren't being used. Examples:
Carlin said: You know, you're right admin, as right as ever. Maybe we should spend some time together, so you could, you know, teach me a few things with the 8 lb gloves. Let me know.
In another exchange with gouda I said: you mean grandchildren yes I would let them read this to show the arrogance and how a bully threatens an old man then I would let my son stomp a mud hole in someone who wants to beat down an old man.
Added in this post - I am sure my son would beat down someone who is 20+years younger and wants to teach his old man a few lessons.
Carlin quotes me as saying this: "Stomp a mud puddle in someone's head"
I never said the head part of this quote. Another thing added to change the meaning of my words.
Carlin said: No, I was actually the one who beat the s^$# out the ones would take advantage. That hasn't changed.
When the above quote was pointed out to Carlin he said this: Big difference between a school child learning, and a grown adult legally responsible for their actions now isn't there?
But if this is the case about a school child learning then why the "That hasn't changed" part?
But somehow I say one thing and Carlin says 2 things that are in of themselves violent but it is spun and twisted around to make me look like I am the violent one because I said my son would protect a 50+ year old man (who has had 12+ concussions leading to post concussion syndrome) from a 30 year old guy.
I give and am sorry that I love a great debate but can't stand someone who uses partial quotes and switches the meaning of what I say around to suit his agenda. Also, I would like to add that a good portion of what I wrote was on a cell phone on the road and I didn't get to expound the way I might have on a computer.
Then after telling me for days that I am playing the victim card Carlin runs and plays the victim card to my admins and other members. Threatens to call the police and tell Oli, which in the end is playing out the ultimate spin and twist game.
Here is how it all started: Oh and BTW just because I waited 12 days to come back to this thread does not mean a thing as I was busy a lot of this time and didn't have time. And for the record a lot of what I said was no worse than what others have said to gouda and Shtal.

I attacked the ideas but Carlin felt the need to attack my intelligence and writing style. And in proceeding posts my mental status all the while I am attacking the ideas, isn't that what debate is about attacking the ideas and not the person???

I'm going to choose to believe you are at least slightly more intelligent than to believe that is what I have expressed. That said, your last reply seemed to be quite a sloppy, lengthy, and angst riddled effort to say very little, while exposing somewhat more than that. I suspect that you are not either or neither capable or interested in a better understanding than the jaded, typical, and elementary one you have, so I will not beat the dead horse any longer.
