Notice that the creationist "Ph.D.s" in this trailer lie about radiometric dating methods. They want dummies to believe radiometric dating is unreliable because the methods are supposedly based on isotopes with variable decay rates, so one unnamed liar in the trailer says, "Cobalt 60, Cesium 137, Silicon 32
and Radium 226 do indeed vary with time which of course would invalidate the
calculated ages.”

In fact, no geological dating methods are based on any isotopes with a VARIABLE decay rate. The overwhelming majority of radioactive elements have decay rates that are absolutely fixed and unaffected by all known chemical and geological processes. The very few exceptions are not used for radiometric dating-- and even for those exceptional isotopes, the variations in decay rate are typically small. e.g. you can change the decay rate of lithium by a few percent by changing its chemical compound, but lithium is not used for radiometric dating. Even if lithium were used for radiometric dating (it's not, duh) the changes could not make the Earth 6,000 years old. (187Re is very rare in that its decay rate can be accelerated by a factor of a billion, but *only* if you super-heat it and super-ionize it, stripping off all its electrons in a plasma-- this is irrelevant to dating unless you want to vaporize the Earth.)

Above the lying creationist cites "Cobalt 60". Cobalt 60 is an ARTIFICIAL isotope only produced in the lab. It has a half life of 10.467 minutes. Because it does not exist in nature, it cannot be used for radiometric dating.

Like cobalt 60, Cesium 137 in the environment is anthropogenic, meaning it is man-made-- e.g. at the Chernobyl reactor site. It has a half-life of 30.17 years and can't be used for dating the Earth.

Radium 226 has a half-life of 1600 years, but it occurs in the environment in only trace amounts. Irrelevant to dating.

Silicon 32 also only occurs in trace amounts. It is produced by cosmic rays hitting argon. Its half-life is about 170 years; and is thus irrelevant to dating the Earth.

Creationists are pathological liars incapable of shame.
