Two Moons

No Bee,
your not going to just chip who you want, you would be chipped as well.

Not gonna happen, and the fact that you think it's good, well, I rest my case.

And it is a great idea for Alzheimers patients, too. They get lost all the time. Could save a life. But nope, everybody here just grabs for the tinfoil. People freaked about security camera's used to sound just like some of you, but just try to avoid them! Oh, and thank goodness for them when a crime happens, though.  Try and tell me those who fear this technology, why it always seems you will beeline straight, lol...that was a joke, hehe....to dwell on the supposedly "negative" only part that says, "... it could be used that way."    As if that is a good reason not to have technology used for the good it can do.

God Bee I'm glad most people do not live in that bubble you occupy.

What would you do if it ever cracked and you had to take care of yourself or a family god forbid?

Chips......

Marvelous.

LOL, see there it is, again!  And you cannot handle when someone really thinks outside of the box! Imagination, you bemoan it a lacking trait, only because you don't have it!  ...oh deary,.....   I won't hold that against you.

Now, I really am quite busy today, have fun looking for a good place to hide!  And really, I am "most" people, lol, you didn't understand Blitzen's recent post too well, eh?

Bee,
Your not thinking outside the box, that's just not the case.
No one is hiding, hiding from what, your just ranting again.
Go out on the street and ask anyone if they want to be micro chipped by their government...LMAO

Bless your heart Red Sable . You have the answer for not being chipped. It will be here soon enough.

No need to chip or use a bracelet. Gun safes use fingerprints so why not guns? If they can make an Iphone smaller than a pack of smokes, they can figure out a way to do biometrics with guns. No fuss, no muss and no chip. Just complaining from gunners, when that trigger is pulled there is no doubt who pulled it.

I like chips but not those types of chips.  Wink Smile

What could be the objection to being able to ID the person who pulls the trigger?

by zdog on 29 January 2013 - 22:01

if i'm gone and my wife is at home and someone breaks in, can she shoot my gun?  how many people can be tagged to one gun? Just one per gun?  Won't that just increase the number of guns in society?  I've probably shot over 100 guns in my lifetime easily, only a handful have been mine.  Never have I used it for a crime or to shoot at a person.  It's like that for everybody I know.

How does it transfer when sold?  what if it's stolen?  You don't think there will be ways to bypass it?  There will be ways to bypass it before it ever comes to production.  how long does it take to ID?  Will you have to tell the bad guy to hang on a minute, your gun hasn't ID'd you yet so you can shoot him?  How much will it cost?  What will it really prevent?

There isn't an objection to being able to ID someone that pulls the trigger.  The objection comes when you have a very limited tech, full of holes and some tout it as the next best thing.  The objection comes in for all other sorts of reasons that you seem to want to ignore.  We know again, there will be away around any of this tech, there always is and they'll be 2 steps ahead.  So again, what's to stop this from making things a PITA for people like me and again doing nothing to stop gun crime or violence?

Good points, Zdog.
