gsdadmin: Reread my post on the WH thread. THE music world is all about drugs. THEY expect it they do it and very few get out without some real damages. I love ELTON JOHN'S MUSIC, SIR ELTON JOHN, but I do not dwell on the words as others do , I listen to the performance., the beat, etc,..like Lionel Ritchie, and some other artists like Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Chicago and I am not privey to their drug use or no...some I do not even ask..If I like a song by them I listen.. I listen to three CHristian stations 24 -7 but do have some cds and at night , since I have no kids any longer to raise, I listen to the new reality shows, THE VOICE< X Factor and American IDOL.. Of course, drugs are not suppose to be apart of any contestant, but I have no idea what the Judges do in their spare time. My main course of music is classical and gospel,& contemporary Christian and romantic ballads.

Yes it is it the culture of music, movies and plenty of stars including conservative members of these groups have used drugs. Is it right? Nope but it is reality and pervassive in ours and many other cultures.

Rose even Christians use drugs.

I don't wish Christians ill will, most of my family are Christian but we have our slight differences and it doesn't stop us from loving each other. I don't see that here with some members.

I wish you no ill will and just the opposite wish you the best in the remaining years.

Peace.

sledgehammer had made a post (I guess it was deleted by a mod?) about women preaching. Sledgehammer, if you still read this thread, I just thought I'd share these two passages with you.  These are both referring to in the church.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 The women are to
keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church

1 Timothy 2:9-13 l
ikewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments,  but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.  A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness.  But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.  For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.

All this members previously posted comments have been removed. We were willing to give this long time banned member another chance but they had to start with their obvious dislike of this admin, which was a major issue in the past. So, we have every right to remove past banned members and to call them out publicly for past indiscretions.

I want to make one thing clear the OT is not governed by the TOS and if the members want it to be I can change it in a heartbeat. I and most of the other admins would actually love it if the the TOS applied to OT as well, but I don't think some members would be happy. I really think the members want it freer. And yes, admins have every right to an opinion and can debate it furiously no matter what members like it. We don't tell you in OT that you can't have an opinion unless it is against the OT rules. And you always have the right to not read our posts in OT.

GSDGUYo8:
That is the correct interpretation of the WORD  as intended

GOD has his inspired word and we are to follow it whether we like it or not..JUST like in dog world, designer dogs bring mucho money, in GODS world and the CHURCH, men do wrongs , do it the easy way, and CANDY COAT the Gospel..and it is easy to let women run things,,if men are not gonna step up..

WOMEN are nurturers and if a man is not available in a SS class and a women is there who has the BIBLE knowledge, then she may teach that class...but as GOD intended the man to be the leader , so be it.
Doesn't matter that todays WORLD IS  different , GODS word remains the same forever. Everyone has a choice...serve GOD or serve Man...Takes many years of studying the BIBLE to learn all this and then it is hard to explain or even help others understand..Just one or two verses is not enough.

WOMEN must be as smart, as well instructed but GOD made the rules..WE are suppose to read them , test them , and show reproof to be exact and then abide by them..

I led singing for 21 years in the Christian Church , Independent not Disciples, and every once in a while, an older man in our congregation went to the board and said...IS there not a man to do this job..NO ...so I went right on..

Woman was created out of the rib, to walk beside man, with her life in GODS hands and no man is to Usurp over woman but GOD has all the answers as to how it is all done in the front to back cover of HIS GOSPEL...the BIBLE.  I base my living on that BIBLE> and am willing to explain or stand on it any day or night..
