Conservative logic is sooo much more credible than liberal, isn't it?

Blitzen, You have got to be kidding. How do you know so much about the needs of the poor and their "lives of quiet desparation?" You seem to assume that conservatives are all from the middle class. I worked for over 20 years in Child Protective Services with the worst of the worst... a man who sodomized his 3 month old son on Thanksgiving Day because his 5 older children had become too old and worn out to be of any more interest to him. I worked with single mothers, children of incest, battered women and children, the homeless, drug addicts, men and women in jail, parents who used foster care like a babysitter, 3 years olds home alone in filth, the whole deal. I have seen how people can live with very little and still be proud and reasonably content. Those I could help were not helped by pity, but by believing in them. There are services available. And some people just want to be left alone. I think you should be writing screenplays for Hollywood.

On the government lam are we Blitz? But you want some more handouts from the people who are losing their houses, cars etc., but hell they actually have a job so they need to pay more to the 24 X 7 internet posters.
Some people think the government is Santa Claus.
They (Government) are broke and just printing money and it's all going to come crashing down. Thanks to our community organizer in chief.

medicare voutchers = subsidies to enable people in need to shop around and find the best medicare insurance for their particular needs.
medicare voutchers are not coupons to give to your doctor!
school voutchers = subsidies parents to enable them to find better (private) schools for their children - (just like the rich people, but they dont get the subsidy). This forces schools to compete and with competition the crappy schools either fail or improve.

"I'll betcha if all the wealth in the US (including off shore accounts) was put into one account (that's a metaphor) there would be more than enough money to see that every kid in the US
got a good education [by whose standards?],
had decent clothing [by whose standards?],
and enough food to eat [by whose standards?],
and there would still be plenty left over for the rich to have all ther expensive toys.
Right. Maybe people would be happier with what they do have if you didn't keep telling them they don't have enough. That's the problem with being judgmental.

I know because I've been there. Is that good enough for you two or are you needing to hear all the details?
