def a heat wave, dry wind as well, some 50 deg Cel, not sure what that is in farenheit. i nearly lost a dog, went out expecting water at some points but dry. have been going out again while the moon is building and doing all nighters sticking close to available water holes. big fires as well, some 50 homes lost. hottest year in recorded history, last year was the previous most hot year and similar year before that.
i have not seen the movie but will check it out, TBH i have hardly seen any movies.

i read the wiki on that movie, the plot seems like a B&W movie i saw as a kid on some isolated pacific island a japanese soldier and a either british or american take turns at being each other's prisoners so to speak. long time a go i barely remember.
