I prefer to sleep in open air under a tarp, I keep the gear in the tent......And I'm usually armed.

i find the lack of a quote function on the board makes discussions unnecessarily hard to follow, just my problem...carry on.

Same here Carlin,
I was going to camp this weekend since the little buggers have gone for the year...
Summertime I can only camp on the river bank, no ticks and no mosquitoes usually.
I hate tents.
