I've had imported cars I liked a lot  - 72 Datsun 240Z (fast car) , a Subaru, VW's, 2 buses for the dogs, but now I buy American. Sold my Taurus wagon when we moved to FL, not good for more than one dog, but otherwise a nice, reliable wagon with decent MPG. We brought a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer with us, still have it, just turned 100K and no major issues other than the usual tires, brakes, a trannie leak and maintenace. Not great gas mileage around town, but we don't drive much anymore. Everything we need is near by.  A friend just got a new Sprinter, ideal for multiple dogs, not sure of the MPG, probably not great. It's a diesel.

My main criteria is can I fit a dog crate (or more if  I happen to have more than one dog at the time). Gas mileage, not so much.

ML,
Please, stop torturing me with garage envy! I am leaving for town hall, any minute, to buy dump chits. So there is hope yet, for a spot opening up before the snow's hit.

They are still made under license, for me nothing else compares.
I have driven the street model 289, but never the original competition model 427.

Well, If I have to have a mid-life crisis, and I have to go out and buy a convertible, and if it has to blue, then this is what I want:

and we shall call you ...Madam Bee!

by beetree on 06 November 2013 - 16:11

"Damn Bee", I would prefer! Madam just sounds too old and enterprising! I am not done being 39 for at least a couple more years!

I don't plan on, or expect any mid-life crisis, but if I did, it would look like this.  Nothing sounds like the prancing horse, nothing looks quite like the prancing horse, and it has to be red.
