Hexe,,...There is only one God of the Bible..There are many versions of the Bible written into a language we all can understand,,Some are arguably better then others, but they all will suffice..
All of the Bible is relevant..The Old Testament is a fore shadow of the New Testiment..Many like to void out the Old ( probably because of their delicate conscience about the laws and the violence ) , but it all has worth..
What do you mean when you say that God has set us up to fail.?.God has provided mankind everything needed to meet His requirements..I say that is most generous..God has no obligation towards mankind except to give us all what we want, which is exactly what we all derserve..Which will be exactly what we will all get, should He not intervene on our behalf..Our wills would never seek Him apart from His prompting..Those who sense the prompting should praise Him. Those that do not, should ask for His mercy, if you are able..
Hundmutter,,The confessing and repenting is not necessary for the infant/handicapped ..God is not bound/limited by space or time ..God is well aware of those who belong to Him..None which belong to God have fear of perishing..And it is not wise to assume that God wants as many saved as possible..That has been a hotly debated topic in other threads. I would go through and read them if you are interested..
I really do not seek to convert you,,That is not my agenda,,I am much more interested in defending Biblical truth against the false teaching of some on the PDB.. I only seek to make Gouda, Shtal, GSDguy, and RS accountable for what they say/preach..Only God can convert the unbelieving. I simply want to uphold the truth of Scripture for the sake of all those on the PDB who seek the truth of the Scripture..It is that simple..As far as there being disagreement among some here well that is to be expected..It is not that big of a deal...Make no mistake, God is not confused, we might be lol,,however He is not..As far as making things appealing to converts God is not concerned about that either..

I kind of take offense to you suggesting it is a series of cop outs...You are certainly due your opinion, but I am not sure what cop outs you are referring to?..SSDD??..If you would prefer to stop the dialog I will respect that as well. You stated that you were "not sold",,That is Ok because nothing is for sale..;) ..lol..

It's the porcelain fixture in the room we here in the US euphemistically refer to as the 'bathroom'...because, as the children's book by that name points out, "Everybody poops." Yep, that great white [or bone, or whatever color your elimination station fixtures are] throne of judgment is a great equalizer.
Obviously, I'm not GSDadmin, but I'd like to buzz in with an answer on this one...
