'building blocks' of life exist on lumps of matter orbiting around the universe is all very well, but it just
looks ignorant in the face of your failure to answer the straight question of: give a good reason WHY
you believe / I should believe. All you ever come up with are unknowables like we (might) end up
burning in eternal fire, not an irrefutable reason why its a good idea in the here and now.

2 Peter 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last dayes scoffers, walking after their owne lusts,- King James Version (year 1611)
3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,
(New King James Version (NKJV)
btw, Bible talks about world wide flood and not local flood.

Okay I will reply again,
Look in your heart and you will find answers, I cannot make you believe what I believe.
God is love and he offers Salvation and Heaven.
How do we find God?
The Gospel tells us that the Kingdom of God above all is within ourselves. If we can not find the kingdom of God within ourselves, if we can not find God within, in the depths, and it is very unlikely that we meet him somewhere outside ourselves. St. John Chrysostom said, "Find the door of your heart, and you will see that it is the door to the kingdom of God." Therefore, it is necessary to address within, and not outside - but in a special way. It is not about to resort to self-analysis, I also do not mean that we should go into the techniques of psychoanalysis and psychology. This is not a journey into the essence of my own "I", it's way through, through my "I" to emerge from its own depths, where God is, where God and we meet. The kingdom of God is called the action of the Holy Spirit in the believer in Jesus Christ, and remember Establishment of God's kingdom in its fullness occurs after the Second Coming of Christ.
Kingdom of Heaven (Heaven) - is a word found only in the Gospel of St. Matthew. Other evangelists speak of the kingdom of God (God).
The Kingdom of God is a condition of human nature, renewed by divine grace, Jesus Christ is the accession of the human mind and heart of the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God does not come externally, but is acquired within. This was said by Jesus Christ: "And when he was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God, he answered them: The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."(Luke 17:20-21).
The Kingdom of God in man is staying in a loving God, His people: "If anyone loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and We will come to him and make our home with him" (John 14:23,24); " Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me "(Revelation 30:20). He who gives witness to these things says, Truly, I come quickly. Even so come, Lord Jesus.

Science has already proved that there was a flood. In fact they think they know where pieces of the ark are but whatever place it's at that country's government won't let them in there to verify it.
It's really insulting to say that just because a person believes different from you that we are evolved from rocks. There's a big difference between a living breathing species and a damn rock. Have you ever stopped to think that every species adapts to its environment regarding food and shelter and in some cases even water? So that's not a form of evolution? It has been proved that some islands have animals that are different then any others in the world and their ways are specific to that one place. Ever thought about that? No I know you haven't. Before you became a Christian what DID you think about? I mean come on, it's well and fine to have faith and believe as you do but there is a great big world out here. According to the Bible God gave man a brain to think with and I know He wants people to make a move now and again on their own. If not He wouldn't have given you the brains to think or make choices with. If He was the kind of God you keep referring to then you would be no more than a mere puppet on a string or a robot...............I believe in the Bible there is a place where it talks about following the laws of the land also. Surely tho when you are around other people you talk about the weather or your dog or something. It's just on here you spout all this on and on because you are trying to save souls. Back to choices.
And I thought Christians weren't supposed to lie? Isn't that in the 10 Commandments? Well while ago you were going to say one more thing and be done with this thread...................I can't tell................

The ark thing, I believe I saw that on unsolved mysteries...lol
Please don't try to pass that off as fact.
These varied interpretations are beginning to take on a life of their own in your mind Shital.
And what about those flags,
Huh?
WOW, I HADN'T NOTICED, BUT IT IS TRUE.
It's true this thread is nonesense.

Shtal - so there'll be pie in the sky when I die ? That just equates with the burning hell that waits for me, if I
don't find god.
Still nothing that explains why I need / should want to believe, in THIS life.
PS Who was talking about "local" floods ? You try too hard to make me look 'dumb' !!!
Two Moons - nah, not so much the 'ark' itself thing, but there's been some increase in the geographical &
geological clues to there having been at least one major flooding event; makes sense when you think the
main Ice Age eventually thawed out into a more temperate climate so there will have been excess water
floating around. Just like environmentalists are worried about polar ice and glaciers today under global
warming. [We are seeing extra water NOW in England !]

Moons was it unsolved mysteries? I was thinking I saw it on the history channel. Regardless notice I said think..............I always say that when I don't remember what they claimed to be facts...................Just saw a joke on Facebook of this older man scratching his head. "How come I can remember all the words to the 80's songs but not what I came in this room for?" Yep that's me.
