So the Constitution says One Man and One Woman. PROVE IT. Show me. I'm willing to listen to and ponder on any FACTS.
I firmly believe in the seperation of church and state. If politics were based on religion and their scare tactics then what kind of place would this be? Look at other countries and the wars that were started on differences of religion; i.e. control, brainwashing. I thank my Creator for the ones that were able to stand strong against this because of the freedoms that were gained. There are many many people who have taken (and still do) different passages from the Scriptures and made them fit what they wanted to say. Just like slavery, they tried to keep the slaves ignorant and uneducated so they could preach to them how the masters could treat their slaves and how the slaves should act accordingly. Ah yes I believe it talks about that in the New Testament.
One more point and then I am done. Do you Christians honestly think this country was built on the love of "God"? Absolutely not. It was built on the blood of indiginous peoples, slaves and immigrants who worked hard to get to this country, not only to escape whatever in their homelands but also to make a better life for themselves in a "free" country. I have read many things about how those immigrants were treated and how they lived and how they worked for mere pennies a day. None of us true dog people would have our dogs living in such adverse conditions. Yes some of them managed to do better and escape the slums and poverty. I can only hope that they didn't get carried away with their new found wealth and somehow tried to help their people. Too many today don't--it's a cutthroat world and whoever one has to step on to get to the top who cares?
Remember the saying "United we stand and divided we fall" Better think about it--not just a pretty writing to read and say that's nice and keep on toe stepping..................

Very typical comment that I expected you would make towards Shtal. See there is where others are wrong....Christians don't hate homosexuals, they don't hate drunks, they don't hate those who have aborted babies, or those who commit crimes. They hate the acts itself. (Aren't you judging us by saying we hate them?) Tell me how STDs and Aids are a good thing? They come from people who practice gay sex and who fornicate. Tell me how drinking or driving drunk is a good thing? Tell it to our family's friend who was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. A drunk driver who walked free from jail barely a year later. What choice did those unborn babies have, who have souls, what choice did they have in being aborted? It's murder, plain and simple. But hey, me not liking these things is a bad thing apparently. I tell you, I am friends with more than one gay person, I am friends with more than one person who drinks. I in no way dislike the people, but "you" put those words into Christians mouths. You don't like that I show my Christianity, are you not judging me (if you're going to use that tactic)? You must hate me then if you don't like that about me? That's the tactic you are using and going by.
If you don't like Obama's policies, then make an argument for that but I wish you'd leave your your religious chest thumping out the equation. That makes you no better a person than anyone else. Are you familar with the concept separtion of church and state?
You know you're on a quote "religious" thread right now, right? Why do you join in this thread if you don't like the topic? Hm.....

Well I can't be responsible for your mistakes, can I? Next time you quote me, be correct, OK?

That is very weak statement and especially from you.

So you love this country cause you have the freedom to post all your bullcrap here and there. So are you saying where you came from there wasn't that much freedom? Are you saying you weren't allowed to post posters of all this stuff? If so then you should certainly know why religion and politics don't mix.
Let's talk about more history and what a warm fuzzy feeling all this can give you. We all know the slaves were freed. Altho they were discriminated against and treated as 3rd or 4th class citizens--not even good enough for 2nd class, they still went to war-- 1 and 2--and fought for a country that could care less about them. That says a lot about their character right there. And as far as the native peoples here they were not given citizenship until 1924, but they also went to war to fight for a country that wanted to exterminate them. In WW1 there were Choctaw code talkers--no not the Navajos who everyone touts as the great codetalkers. Are you aware the Choctaws helped win WW1 because they spoke in their native language and that code could not be broken? And no that is not my tribe but I have many friends and I know they are very proud of their ancestors. Again it shows their character cause they could've stayed home on the rez and said to heck with them. If you would like to check those FACTS out go to the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma's website.
And Blitzen you just keep posting anywhere you want to as if I need to tell you that. All in releasing energy and telling the TRUTH.

Hmmmmmm.....So what about marriage and the transgendered? What if a man and woman married, but they each had a sex change? So, now the man is the woman, and the woman is the man? I wonder if that has ever even happened!
I know I saw a show where the married man was really a woman at first, but later changed into a man. These gender bender things get confusing. I mean, Miss Universe can be born a man and become the ideal woman! It is very weird to think I have an XY, but the person with an XX, surgical knife, and hormone therapy can trump all other deciding factors and become the ultimate, female role model. Oh what a world we live in today.
Sorry for if I got a bit rambly and OT with this post, but really it boggles my mind!
Vonissk: One of my best friends has Choctaw roots, she is very proud of her heritage. You ever read the book, "The Bean Trees" by B. Kingsolver? Great book!
