Okay - nobody disagreed with the mods' decision to agree to VK's own request.
Better ? (>:-p).

by GSD Admin on 28 October 2015 - 17:10
Okay - no one said that you disagreed. I explained why, I never once said you or anyone else disagreed. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to infer that some don't agree or seem to be disappointed.
I did infer that you/others disagreed just like those who have posted (in general) inferred their disagreement with the ban.
I could give several examples if you would like. But I prefer to concentrate on those here instead of crying over spilt milk.
I am moving on.

Don't get mad...I'm just curious..don't mean to cause any trouble.

by GSD Admin on 28 October 2015 - 17:10
You are right. I made a mistake when I went back and looked it up. VK didn't say those things so for that I do apologize to VK. But it doesn't change the fact that he more or less threatened to do things to get banned. We have waited in the past when others have threatened to get themselves banned, in hopes that things would settle down, those instances never really worked out so we aren't waiting any longer when a member threatens to do things to get banned especially if it is a member on the bubble so to speak.

According to the terms he is neither rude nor insulting - he isn´t easy, but at least for me he is interesting, and he is interested in working dogs ( = to WORK dogs ).
Although he is living in Oz he tries to learn every day, and although his GS might be the first GS he ever owned, he is not new to working dogs.
He has a pretty good feeling for dogs in general, and he appriciates "good" owners, no matter if they are involved in "real" working or not. A person I´d love to train with, simply because of it´s dedication to learn and train.
This board is dealing with a lot of different people, Americans, Europeans, WGSL, WGWL, ASL, pet dog owners, and on and on and on.
This board is dealing with people ridiculing science, pharmacy, dog sport, and on and on and on, too.
I think that´s pretty normal, it´s a cross-section throughout society. We are able to read a lot of nonsense here, but in my opinion that´s no reason to ban anybody, and it´s no reason to ban someone who believes in "working dogs" - we are talking about working dog breeds almost exclusively here...
He "banned himself" - is he able to come back by himself, if he wants so?
Sorry about my rant, now I feel better.

LOL, at Jenni,
Hundmutter, sarcasm noted but yes it is better.
Susie, we obviously interpret rude and insulting very differently, you must have missed most of it BEFORE it was edited/deleted. So the few members here don't find him rude and insulting, I think the hundreds of members who just read here, WON'T post because of behaviour like his and others, might have a different opinion and I/we have to consider all members. I hope he appreciates your heart felt post since he no longer wanted to be here it appears to me he couldn't care less, I may well be wrong. I hope while he's gone he has time to reflect..
I will say I am surprised at some of the comments here and it has been an eye opener, can't please everyone and that's a fact.
Kicking myself for even trying to explain......I'm out!!!

My take on this is that Susie is 100% correct. Mick, you really think we are disagreeing
[with WHICHEVER it was, self-banning or mod-banning] that he needed to be penalised ?
Please go back and read my post, where I clearly stated I was NOT disagreeing; that's got
so eroded by the definition of whether he WAS banned or HAS banned himself, you are
both missing that bit ! I'm sure neither Susie or I would dream of opposing the decision
by the admins (whichever decision that was); I don't even feel comfortable talking about
the whole subject [TOS!] - but surely its permissible for other members to say it's a shame
and we'll miss him and we hope it's not for ever, ...without it being assumed we are really
'having a go' at you, and criticising your actions ? I'm outta here too, whatever became of
free speech ?
