I didn't say it.
Please provide a link to me saying the church should run the state...

You've stated it in this very thread, by saying that same-sex marriage should not be legal, because it's against the teachings of the Bible, did you not? And you still haven't answered the question, have you? What is the church being forced into?

The OP of this thread was looking to start a pissing match so I obliged with my response. Actually i,m not a Christian man! but i do believe that gay marriage is just another crack in the foundation of our society. Look over the past 50 years and see the rise of liberalism and it,s effect on our society and culture. Only a blind idiot or liar would not agree that the more liberal a country gets the more social upheaval,s begins to tear it apart. The country was founded on Christian values once those values wash away the more society degrades look at the shape the country is in now no school prayer,no pledge of elegance no school punishment no respect to teachers. This is all symptoms of a over liberalized society No personnel responsibilities no National pride all symptoms of the coming affliction.
Civil unions, Life contracts what ever you want to call it is fine by me if two people of the same sex want to share insurance, end of life decisions, working or death beneifts thats fine by me. But lets not pervert the bed rock of our foundation.
I love Mary and Mary loves me. Mary and I love Betty and she loves us. Why should,nt i be able to mary all 3? were all free of age and have our rights? your infringing on my rights to open love some people?
My daughter went out side without her head covered so I stoned her to Death but that is my right!
My Daughter is 10 but she will wed my good frind Bruce who is 46 that is my right !
That woman went outside with her clevage showing and in tight blue jeans so 3 of us men raped her because she was asking for it!
The guy who hangs around the school or play ground and takes kids to his house and has sex with them,He loves them it,s his right!
There just our rights!!! I demand you give them to us!!!

No pissing match at all. I posted it because I know people who are gay and surprise I am happy for them, I just think it is about time.
by Bob McKown on 09 October 2014 - 18:10
Really? And after no responses you said this?
and I quote:
"No one has commented? Well I can see you guys must be pretty miserable to not be happy for people who can now marry legally. I guess it was be to expected from people who are miserable and can't be happy for other people who now get the same rights as everyone else."
Please ! I,m not miserable? I,m mostly Happy!. This is a statement custom made to elicit a response

No I did not STATE that, this is a very short thread, surely you could spend a minute or two searching before you falsely accuse someone. Or is that too much to ask for???

The State has no right telling the Church how to run...and visa versa"
how is this new law the state telling the church how to run???
by Bob McKown on 09 October 2014 - 19:10
The separation of church and state only means that the government it, self can not endorse any certain religion. There can be no Goverment sponsored Religion. Thats all it says. As for example in Russia.

Our separation of church and state entails the rejection of an official, government-sanctioned creed rather than the obligatory erasure of references to God in civic life.
