I hate shopping, I've never shopped on Black Friday...

But I just went out and bought two TVs on Black Friday...

Actually, it's all sort of disturbing in a way, because you're not alone.  By that I mean that many people seem to act or behave in such a way inconsistent to some extent with their values/beliefs.  This would not seem to bode well for society moving forward. 

I am resenting how to be told to do my shopping by the media, period. All the naming of the days to shop! There is no reason for the season behind the buying that even speaks of Christmas being the celebration of the birth of Jesus. Very bizarre, if you think about it! A birthday party being planned, where the guest of honor is not named.

Today I discovered, is small store Saturday or some other silliness. While I like to shop locally, a conclusion I came to all my own on a personal level, I hate that I'm being told to do it on a certain day.

In the US, I think we could benefit from a little more of that decorum we began with over here, which has somehow all but completely escaped us.
