always been a chevy kind of girl....but after my last car gave up on me in 2008, this became my first rice burner....not much of anything except i can hit 110 w/o even noticing it, and i can hit 70 before i get on highway on the on-ramp ...so, works for me...

The problem I find with low mileage older cars, isn't a problem with the engine. It is all those sealing type parts that wear out. Any thing rubber, any that seals, it becomes a royal PITA.
Erin, make sure you change the oil on time! Best thing you can do! Spoken from experience....! No one told me I needed to do that.... a long, long time ago! Can you say... seized engine, three times fast? LOL

Bee...LOL...no, it was parked like that when they brought it out to me for test drive...i took few photos from every angle...i was doing that to about 6 cars, and next day i bought a different car, I bought Pontiac GT (?) the 2 door kind of sport version, drove it for 4 days found out it has major issues with pulling to the left that alignment cant fix it and company is fighting customers in order to issue recall so I took it back and next choice was mustang which was unavailable because someone was buying it, so 3rd choice was Jeep because i could fit all 4 dogs into it...but than i remembered i could use hubbys jeep for that and i am a speed kind of girl so i said, what the heck i 'll take the black one..LOL...so..no i did not park the car that way..Ha,haaaaa...

""The problem I find with low mileage older cars, isn't a problem with the engine. It is all those sealing type parts that wear out. Any thing rubber, any that seals, it becomes a royal PITA"".
Very true Bee. It tends to happen when exposed to sunlight and when driven in the winter (salt). My Taurus has always been garaged and never driven in the winter. It looks brand new. I recently changed the oil at Jiffy Lube and they were gawking at the car. Claiming to never have seen a car that old in showroom condition.
As far as tires, if they sit garaged on concrete they dry rot (from the limestone in the concrete). If you put wood between the tires and concrete they are fine.
