In the words of a respected friend, PhD, with 13 yrs in SWAT and Homeland Security, and former US Army Captain:

"All these years, I thought the purpose of the military was to create the BEST fighting force possible. Who knew that it was all about "maximizing the (personal) success" of the recruits? No, it seems that "equal" doesn't really mean "equal" after all. It means If you be the best YOU can be, and I become the best I can be, then we must be "equal" (the same). Anybody with a grasp of reality exceeds that of a second-grader must surely understand this. Then again....."

How hard can it be to follow orders, pull a trigger, kill and be killed?
Sounds sorta sexist to me Carlin.

Women have been fighting wars since clubs and rocks.
In our country they fought during the civil war, most had to hide their sexual identity, many on both sides were used as spy's.
They fought along side their men protecting their homes and families on the frontiers as we settled this country.
With today's technology things will change rapidly and women will be there.

Personally,
I give women much more credit than most.

I think I'm actually starting to like you, Moon Beam. How scary is that?

OT but did you ever hear Carlin's routine about being a picky eater and head cheese? I think it's his best, but that's just me, a person who would never eat head cheese either.

Killing other people can be very difficult for some. I know people here like to brag about such non challance. I am not one of them.

Call it God, call it nature, call it the universe... men and women, whether equal or not, are not the same, obviously.  There are always extreme cases and exceptions, but as a rule, men are physically superior.  The point was, compromising the fundamental principles of combat to satisfy an egalitarian agenda; an indication of where we are.  I imagine if I were in some foxhole somewhere, with my life depending on those next to me, I'd like to know that they were the best suited for the job, despite how anyone felt in congress, the white house, or on "Ellen" or the "Own" network.  I consider my wife equal, yet different; good thing for the both of us I'd say; not to mention how the kids prospects would have panned out otherwise.

When your home is surrounded by Zombies wouldn't you expect your wife to pitch in with some head shots?
I certainly would we got each others back.

Yeah yeah yeah women are different, but I think they can do what's needed when the time comes just like a man.
Those that couldn't well I've seen men fold too, still no contest.

Look at it this way,
the ones you would not want to share a fox hole with come with innies and outies....lol
