The next one is interesting too, that'd qualify as a bark!

That's really strange.  We have a large population of Coyote around here, but they are typically quite skittish, esp. of large dogs.

The only coyotes that survive in my area are the ones that avoid areas inhabited by humans. That being said, I've had many encounters with them in the back country and have witnessed many of their attempts to lure my dogs into an ambush. I was out on a small lake fishing a few years ago and one of my males was playing with a coyote bitch in a meadow adjacent to the lake. She kept trying to take him into the bush, he would follower her right up to the tree line and stop, obviously he knew what was waiting. This went on for about an hour before she gave up and left.

...this.  Three of them pulled this with one of my dogs; fortunately, he returned rather quickly after chasing them off of the property.

Coyotes have been known to "escort" people walking with pets in their territory.  They will walk in the open and follow the people, letting them know they are there.  We have had that happen where I am.

We live in the southeast and have had problems with coyotes the past couple of years.  Hunters began illegally bringing them in for hound running in the 1970's .  The coyotes have been heavily preying on white tail deer in our area.  The problem is some of them are rabid and get close to humans.  A few years ago a rabid coyote attacked a 9 year old girl waiting for the school bus.  Her leg and toe were badly injured and the coyote was shot by a neighbor.

Just the other day I saw what looked just like the coyotes in the videos running across the road in front of my house..I took one look and I could tell it was a wild animal,,It was quite nice looking and bigger then I assumed they would be,,
