It is utter arrogant foolishness the way we delve so deeply into the world of genetic engineering; leap first and grab the money. Another issue which confronts the nation this morning is the Chinese proposal to acquire one of our largest food suppliers, Smithfield. I would have thought Obama of all people would champion the bee cause; Soros' must have a stake in this somewhere. Where's Al Gore when you need him? Did I really just say that? Wow, things must be pretty bad.

Carlin, I saw that, about China and SF. This country is screwed.
Arsenic is added to chicken feed to grow them faster, and add color to the meat....FDA currently allows big pharma to lace chicken feed with arsenic to BOOST PROFITS; it's ALL about the money and has NOTHING to do with quality of food production. No wonder the rest of the world is rejecting US food products.

Now, that I could believe! They were spraying for mosquitos! One of the dumbest things mankind continues to attempt to do! Like it ever gets rid of all the mosquitos! I am sure there was no sensitivity to life cycles of other creatures. They just loaded up the crop dusters. I remember the knee jerk spraying response that happened in CT, too, when West Nile first threatened our evening time existence. Why it shouldn't be obvious that the poison being sprayed has to run off with the water... to where? Oh, yeah, to the ocean. Pretty much wiped out the lobsters, and what was a thriving industry in CT.
CT and VT passed their own GMO label laws, I am happy to hear it.

Actually, that is the only type of thing that will get Monsanto, stopped. If they don't have buyers, well.... things will be changing, finally. It is weird, I just was shredding old stuff, (until I jammed that shredder for good!) and I found from 2000, my OG Watchdog, Truth about GMO's special edition report.... from back when Maria Rodale was Editor in Chief. Shortly after, she was just...out, and the magazine became fluff and stuff. Still is. I should scan it and post it... it is like a time capsule ... sort of, lol!

Just keep eating and drinking. The ends justify the means.

I don't see how I am going to avoid eating and drinking, kind of stuck with those choices. Just read about paraquat, which is only available for use by commercial growers, as being responsible for Parkinson's Disease.
People should just learn to deal with bugs and weeds. I mean, worse things could happen to someone if they had to pull a weed out of the ground, or thow a bug in a jar of soapy water. I don't like to squish things with my hands, myself, but it would be a lot easier if I did. Integrated pest management is the safer way to go for everyone.

The title of that story in Fl about all those dead bees is wrong. There's no mystery about it. Should have been titled "County sprays Pesticide, kills millions of Bees, Causing devastation"
