We will find out the facts of the sandy hook in about twenty years or more.

Why is it so important for some of you to keep casting doubt on this hideous situation? Why isn't it good enough for you that 20 little kids and 7 adults were senselessly murdered because someone who shouldn't had access to guns? Does it really matter which weapons were used to kill them? Jesus, why must everything be a conspiracy? And linking all this YouTube crap as if it were the gospel truth is laughable.
Maybe you want a return to the wild west where corpses were photographed in their coffins to prove they were dead? Get over it, more stringent gun laws are coming and guess why - the majority of the citizens of this country WANT them; in a democracy the majority rules.

I agree. Change is coming. About time for a change, too.
Very nicely said Blitzen, I am running short of patience for some reason, on some topics; good thing you have some.

Actually I don't, I just don't read this forum for days so I'm not tempted to respond.

Why?
Because we are being lied to and manipulated everyday, why would this be any different.
Since the kids dead and no trial will ever take place we will never know what really went down, not even in twenty years.
If you two knew what was really going on you'd be wanting the truth too.
The stakes are very high, another reality that you don't see.
We'll see who is the majority once things get into actual votes.

Whatever, Moons. Believe what you want. You must lead a very paranoid lifestyle.

by Two Moons on 07 January 2013 - 18:01
Blitzen,
No I do not live a very paranoid lifestyle.
I know when things don't add up, it's simple arithmetic.
You seem to except anything without question so, what's worst?
Moons.

Strictly regulating perscription pseudoephedrin worked on decreasing deaths from meth use and crimes associated with it .....nope
Regulating prescription narcotics has worked on decreasing deaths from narcotic use and crimes associated with it .....nope
Making cocaine, heroin, and other drugs illegal has worked on decreasing deaths from illegal drugs and crimes associated with it .... nope
Making alchohol illegal not only decreased alcohol use but most certianly decreased crime associated with it ......nope
Hmm call me silly but strictly regulating doesn't seem to do what those who propose it want it to do......
So many want a quick fix, a band-aid solution to make themselves feel better, how about we roll up our collective sleeves and dive into finding real solutions to the underlying issues that create the mindset to do self harm or harm to others? It is not someone else's problem, it is not something that only happens to others, it is not something that will go away if we regulate it. Human suffering creates a fertile ground for wanting to self harm or harm others. How about people do for others what they would do for their own dogs .... JMO

Moons, I accept what seems to me to be rational. I don't get my information from YouTube videos, lunatic fringe websites, the NRA, Breitbart or Fox News. I try to look at both sides of every issue. I don't see a conspiracy, straw men, shadow government, man made sunamis, government plots to to take away our guns and then all constitutional rights lurking around every corner. I don't have an arsenal of weapons in my closet nor do I have a safe room or an underground bunker just in case. I don't surf the crazy train websites looking for reasons to dump on the government and, horror of horrors, I do believe we know who killed Kennedy.

You call changing the mindset of Americans to value life over their "right to bear arms", a "simple band-aid solution to make one feel better", as a quick fix?
I think you couldn't be farther from the truth of it. And we are going to prove it by making the changes necessary. And we start by never believing the glib rhetoric that continues to serve the purpose to cloud the real truth. Gun control is going to happen in a big way. Get busy, and start stocking up your hidey-holes!
You think some of us believe everything because we can't think for ourselves. That is laughable coming from the group that believes anything from that bastion of fauxness, called YouTube.
