ALL presidential candidates for years have done this.

my dogs WANT to ride in the bed of my truck, they jump in the bed and we have to pull them out an put them in the cab, then they want to hang their heads out the window, which we don't let them....thy sigh and pout.
dogs are not humans they enjoy things we cannot understand (rolling in roadkill for example).

snopes is created by a couple who voted for obama, factcheck is run by the annenburg(sp?) for which obama worked........both cannot be completely trusted.......
