I guess I am since I'm going to post again.
GSDguy, you are judging Obama based on your personal prejudices of his policies, your religious beliefs and most likely what you see on cable news. You are against abortion, so everyone else who is worth anything should be against abortions too....and so forth. That's a theme that runs through many of your posts here. If you don't like Obama's policies, then make an argument for that but I wish you'd leave your your religious chest thumping out the equation. That makes you no better a person than anyone else. Are you familar with the concept separtion of church and state?
I don't hate Christians, but I do hate hypocracy. The best people I know don't toot their own horns on the internet. My religion is no one else's business, I choose to keep my personal life personal.

Shtal if you don't like people posting on YOUR thread and disagreeing with you then you better find you another place to go because as for myself I will post on any thread I want to regardless of the subject matter.
If you are gay, then I think that is your biz. If you are pregnant and want to have an abortion also that is your biz. I am neither of the above and I personally don't think it is my biz to tell others how to live. Maybe I might not approve of what you are doing but who died and put me in charge to tell others how to live? Absolutely noone.
I do believe organized religion is a fear tactic. As JC stated in another post it was used back in the day to control people. From a native perspective convicts who had been kicked out of their homeland and came here with a Bible in one hand and a weapon in the other to MAKE people submit to their will. And if that is God's love then I want no part of it.
I have my own form of spirituality and I practice it often. What may work for me may not work for you. I absolutely do not believe in a heaven and hell--more threat tactics--since I don't take threats lightly and if you threaten me with hell because I don't believe as you do then make it so. Don't stand around talking about something you have no concept of other then what you read in a book that was written by commen men. It's all about faith. I have little faith in something that has and still is creating more wars than anything else. Go back in history and you do some unbiased reading with an open mind and you will see what it all started over--religion and different beliefs and it has done nothing but escalate from that point. AND who are any of you to say what religion is right or wrong. Well the Muslims are wrong, well the Buddhists are wrong. The Christians are the only ones who are right and Jesus was the only true savior. Who are you to say that? And how do you know that? Just because you believe it doesn't make it so. Just because your faith tells you that doesn't make it so. Everyone who was doing their own thing and had their own prophets can't be wrong. And because you believe a different way and they are all going to hell in a handbasket you are absolutely no better then the people you talk about and maybe not as good.
I agree I think all the religious threads should have been kept off this board because this isn't the place for it. There are other forums for all that.
And I am going to say this not because I am an Obama supporter but because I am a human being. You guys all dislike him so much that you will drag up anything you can to run him down. You are definately no different then any of the vote for me bashing commercials on tv and the radio. Matters not if it is the Prez or Mitt or Ron Paul or even Sarah Palin--this country is becoming more divided and if you stop and think and look around you cannot blame that on one person. Everyone of you who is spouting their propaganda is helping divide this country. I hope by the time some of you are 60 you will get some sense but I have my doubts.
