I totally agree MAX and appreciated that post.  There's not one of those Cardinal rules that I would argue.  And I believe every man is capable of achieving those goals, whether he needs The Bible as his OWN tool ...or, in the absence of belief, a rational, kind, considerate, lawful and respectful way toward others of his kind, if only in skin and bone.

People, human beings, need to meet at a point of commonality, not division.  That's what some people can't understand and to me, it's just common sense and good manners.  To have respect for someone else who is not ourselves, as long as they are doing us no harm.  And if it's a book that's telling you otherwise, you need to question it's motives.  Evil lurks where you least expect it.  Truly, for once, use the HUMANITY that is still hidden somewhere within your bitter soul and just stop the hate.

And you can't see the contradictions?  One of the Cardinal Rules listed is:

"Be too brave to lie."  You're asking an Atheist to lie and confess and he's saying that he has nothing to confess.  There are some pretty evil Atheists too, I'm sure, but the kind of hatred shown here when all I'm doing is asking you for peace and promising that I will also afford you your peace is beyond compare. It's not good enough, you need my SOUL.  Does that sound slightly familiar to you?  Do you think the words of Satan are not also written between the lines in your book?  Do you think maybe, just maybe, the test is... You're supposed to see it, with the eyes YOUR GOD gave you, combined the the other four senses?

Oh, if I'm the one who happens to be right, I have MUCH more to lose than you do!  I'll lose the only life I had a shot at.

But if you're right, you'll have wasted yours atoning for in INNOCENT guilt.  What a waste of a good life that could have been lived with peace in his soul, instead of division and hatred, and all because of a myth.  What a waste.

You talk of Jesus as the Prince of Peace, while delivering a message that is pure evil.  If you can't see that at this point, I pity your soul if you ARE right!

With the end of the world so near, so you say, cataclysmic events, war, upheavel going on around the world, don't you think there's a possibility, just a small one, that prophets would come to right you, had you gone off course, but with good intent?  If you really believed that, you might believe there's a possiblily that I'm one of those prophets, even if I don't know it.  I'm trying to bring you to peace, while you resist with a threats and a sword.  If you truly do believe, could it be I'm SHOWING YOU your errors and you're resisting?  Maybe I'm the peacemaker, where you least expected to find it.  Maybe he gave you the "senses", to use the one sense... common sense... which you've lost.  Did you ever think of that?  Look in the mirror, please.

Hey, I like that idea of being a prophet peacemaker!  Maybe that's why my life's been a living Hell for the last couple of years.  Maybe there really is a GOD and he's making me atone now by bringing the word of PEACE.  He knows my heart was always good.  Not perfect, mind you, but good at HEART.

I don't think so, but hey, who knows, right?

Wouldn't it be nice if we could convert each other and have some peace?

Can you see that you don't need the chains to be good?  I trust that you're good, as one HUMAN BEING to another.
