I think she needs to put more clothes on.  I don't see how she would be a good example to young girls.   On top of that, I just don't care for the music I've heard from her.

Do you mean Lady GAGga...lol...lol..Honestly the word lady should be the last thing to descibe this person....Yuck...But I still love ya Kelly!!!!

Oh, to be so misunderstood! And by a whole country! Artists have this problem, all the time.

I'm not a fan, women with a little dignity and self respect would be nice once in awhile.

by beetree on 21 September 2011 - 17:09

Oh, you got her all wrong, Donnerstorm, you need to watch one of her interviews. She's about as self-confident and about self-respect for the misfits of society, as they come.

Bee,

Thanks for the song. Even if it was back in May. I missed it. Better late than never. LOL

I think she is a little bizzare, but that type of behavior generates $$$$ and that is what it is all about. She has a nice voice.

She reminds me of Maddonna (early in her career) a little behavior wise.

It is what it is.

Ok, I killed my phone battery watching the videos, but my opinion hasn't changed really. She's bizarre, but bizarre sells. I guess the record industry is hurting, so her mega sales is good for them. She swears she doesn't do drugs, & promotes self esteem, so in that respect I like her. But honestly, I never paid her or her music style much attention. I kind of like the funky costumes, wish I could pull off wearing a bikini! When you're young & still attractive, if you've got it, flaunt it! I kept myself prim & proper as a kid, I wish I'd have shaken my tail feathers a little! jackie harris

There is no denying that she uses sex/nudity to grab attention. As a matter of fact, she tells the story of her early days, performing at a club or bar or something where the patrons just flat out were ignoring her. She disrobed entirely, and finally got their attention.

She was on the news, GMA this morning, reacting to the suicide of a young boy, who was mercilessly bullied because of his sexual orientation. She recounts all the time, how she grew up a victim of bullying because she is different.

Now, truly, Madonna, the ultimate "Material Girl", has been an influence on Lady Gaga; as the consumate performer, and her amazing ability to re-invent herself. However,  I think Lady Gaga goes farther, in that she lives her art. It is not something saved for the stage. In contrast, Britney Spears who openly admires Madonna, hasn't the brain power of Lady Gaga, so she must be sexy to be heard, and/or watched. Lady Gaga, I believe,  just realized the sex and skin as a means to an end to being heard and seen, because she has a real message that this generation, the youth, totally understands.

I'm just happy that liking her music is something my teenager son and I manage to enjoy together. How nice is that?

Oh yeah, she loves to ride the coattails of the LGBT community talking about her love of queer folk, how she herself is bisexual [but has only ever dated men...], and generally act like she is the new spokesperson for the entire LGBT community.

And out the other side of her mouth, she constantly says transphobic, bigoted crap.

She's using a community she doesn't belong to, as a ploy for fans, and it worked.

Well, that and being a clone of Madonna.

beetree.... With a song like this one.....There would be no reason to use nudity/sex to grab attention.  I don't normally like her music, but the acoustic version of this song is just awesome.  If she did more music like this I might listen to her.
