Duke; "I think that, when time comes that muslims will have majorityin europe the left wingers will still defend their point of view by saying this is how democratyfunctions
when you see how democraty functions, and what rights christians have in islamic countries, you know what we are allowing the foundation to be build for today."

Duke, that is why the Constitution of the USA mandates clearly, 'separation of church and state'....to prevent the USA from becoming what is the middle east. The clerk in Tennessee is ignoring the law. And should she set a precedent and be allowed to renig on her swarn duties because of her religious beliefs, she will be responsible for turning the USA into an ecclesiastic country....with each religion demanding control over the others and spiraling the USA into sect wars the same as the middle eastern part of the world. The USA is a secular country.

Joanro, we do have "separation of church and state", too, but finally a majority is always able to change things in a democracy. They only need to vote...

by duke1965 on 10 September 2015 - 17:09

yes Susie, just like they do in islamic countries LOL

in about ten days I will fly to USA to visit long time friend, when he was 18 years old he ran up a french beach, loosing many of his friends around him that day, fighting for the freedom we think is normal today.

this freedom we will loose now without a bomb dropped, without a gun fired, it willbe given away for free

I remember a scene in the movie braveheart, where the englishman said "we will breed them out " , that scene will become reality, we will be bred out

Joanro -

To my knowledge the Constitution does not clearly mandate the separation of church and state. Please correct me if I am wrong with the exact words that state that.

by joanro on 10 September 2015 - 18:09

"Separation of church and state" (sometimes "wall of separation between church and state") is a phrase used by Thomas Jefferson and others expressing an understanding of the intent and function of the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. Since the First Amendment clearly places the restrictions solely on the state, some argue a more correct phrase would be the "separation of state FROM church". Either way, the "separation" phrase has since been repeatedly used by the Supreme Court of the United States.

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that and Article VI specifies that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

by ZweiGSD on 10 September 2015 - 18:09

So in other words, it is NOT in the Constitution.

by joanro on 10 September 2015 - 18:09

So the Supreme Court can't read?
