Bee, too bad my brother isn't closer, that man can fix anything as can my wonderful neighbor across the street (she proudly describes her Kentucky hillbilly, her words, upbringing where her dad taught her to fix anything with the craziest items). They are both pretty amazing when it comes to fixing things. Unfortunately I am fighting to get my w/d replaced, otherwise they would be fixed by now and only cost me a case of beer and parts.......

Well, I thought since DH is a toolmaker by trade, he'd be handy in the home. Turns out he excels in demolition, but the completion part drags on for an eternity.
He came home, finally realized why there was a towel on the floor, and is busy emptying everything out. We are having a cookout, apparently, LOL He was not impressed with my two bags of ice and a cocktail, solution. It was time for my evening stroll in the garden, a bit of zen, and favorite time for me.
LOL I am glad he's doing it, since he was the one who answered the phone when the fix it guy called to say he is coming tomorrow early afternoon, and I don't even have to miss my dentist appointment....OH drat on that! I Love excuses to cancel my dentist appointments! LOL

No, but my teeth are clean!
My motherboards are fried and the compressor is dead, too. $$$ I am hoping the compressor is still under warranty. Not sure. The guy made me feel real good when he said, "Oh, man, that's like doing heart surgery!"

This is not a cheap or old thing. I can't afford NOT to fix it. My bad luck has come to its three's. I think.
First my car $$$, now the fridge $$$, and also, yesterday, the truck is in for repairs and it won't be ready in time to drive for our beach vacation. We need to rent something. $$$ I am doing my best to keep everyone busy and employed in the fix-it-trades this summer. They should all be going on nice vacations,
soon, too, courtesy of moi!

The appliance guy and I have just parted ways. You know, I called this guy thinking I'd support the local economy. He called and started to give me excuses about his sick employee ... I already heard that one! I got a bit cranky. 
He told me to call GE. 
So, I called GE direct, and they will be out first thing in the morning. I will make sure never to recommend or spend a dime in his store, ever.

in last month or so i somehow completely forgot about "off topic" section on this site..i just go to forum and click "latest posts" and ofcourse latest posts does not show off topic....
