David Wilkerson preaches the Bible, no doubt so he is the one I'd want to listen to if I wanted to get to Heaven, no doubt in my mind, just wanted to make that clear. :)
I do think Joel Osteen has been saved at one point. (I know some on here believe once saved always saved, and I was taught that same doctrine, but it never sat well with my spirit, and after much more studying, I no longer think that, but I won't get into why now.)
Where Joel stands with God, only God knows.
. He did say the one and only way to Heaven was through Jesus Christ ( true) and he did say (somewhat shakily) that the act of homosexuality is a sin, as is lying, adultery and a host of others. (also true). He invites all sinners into his church, as he should, as we are all sinners! So I think he has the most important facts right.
HOWEVER, he spent $100,000,000 on his "church building'!! Wow, how many homeless and hungry would that have helped??
I have listened to him on T.V. a couple of times, but he didn't impress me, too soft and not enough meat in his sermons for my tastes. I want to hear the truth and I don't want it watered down. I want to know for sure what God is trying to tell me.

Do you think a god would have any problem speaking to you?
These guys are all about the money so don't fool yourself.

I think the majority are ALL about the money, so sad. Look at all the fancy churches out there. It is sickening where most of the money goes, and totally against the will of God.

Gouda, Shtal,
My point is I'm sure both believe they are ministering the word. Whether one agrees with the message or not it is the Holy Ghost who gives revelation. I knew John Osteen well, Joels father, and I don't know many ministers in my opinion that was more creditable. I also have heard Dave Wilkerson many times and is also very credible.
It is not right to come on a forum to bash preachers who does not believe in your personal (doctrins) or beliefs. Every minister that is, or has been except Jesus Christ has gotten fouled up in their messages and theology. Look at Peter who shortly after Christ ascended started to go back and live under the law. A lot of ministers today still want to minister the law instead of grace and the gift of God which is salvation through his son, Jesus Christ. I listened to Billy Graham on Larry King one night and Larry King said to him "you know you are going to heaven when you die" and Billy Graham said well I hope to but no one really can say he knows for sure. Larry King was surprised. But you no that is not even Bible. The word says you will "Know". I don't think Billy Graham believes that, but he softened on what he would have said and has said in his younger years.
Name me one Minister that is right all the time, Both of you can not do it. Do you think the Gospel of Christ is a hard task master, that all should be poor, sick, weak, etc. in fear of every thing that comes along. Do you think the church is a failure and that Christ as the head of the church is incapable of restoring, correcting, and building His church. That is faithless my friend and I don't believe it for a minute.

Hi Hank
Paul says let any creature who perverts the Gospel be ANATHEMA--- doomed, cut off, cursed by God.
Modern gospels which fail to present the sinfulness of sin and absolute need of grace, apart from human merit, would seem to come under the same
ANATHEMA.
While Christians should be leaders in courtesy and cordiality, our attitude towards teachers of false gospels must be one of a sacred hostility.
Cordiality here is forbidden and misguided. GALATIANS 1:8-9

So you are saying Joel Osteen should be cursed by God for what he said on those videos? Using that analogy would anyone preaching less than the full Gospel according to scripture be guilty of preaching a false Gospel? Do you believe the Holy Ghost convicts of sin.
how would you preach the Gospel (GOOD NEWS) to the poor? You will always have to be in poverty.
preach the Gospel (GOOD NEWS) to the sick? You will always remain sick.
preach the Gospel (GOOD NEWS) to the broken hearted? You will always be hurt.
Romans 8; 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
God gave you his Son, do you think he would not heal your body? Or help you to get out of poverty? Or mend your broken heart?

GSDtravels,
Regarding your video, Satan had sowed tares among the wheat, God has no power or authority over tare people, tares are predestined to burn.
