"Hiding for the long down" ????
The long down is supposed to be with your back towards the dog but in sight for the BH, IPO I
Unless that's one of the new IPO rules changes?
Who told you to hide behind the blind? What are the blinds made of? I can't tell if they're wooden panels or some kind of horizonal material. Congrats on the AD and BH :-)

I don't know, they have a flag and circle for males and females and an x on the other side of the blind for the handler so that's what I did, I'm not in the habit of questioning the judge *shrug*  Their blinds are wooden.  I'm pretty sure I was also instructed to go on the other side of the blind (much farther away) for my other dog's SchH1 (different club, different judge).  Either way a down is a down, hidden or in sight.
