I understand what Slam is talking about. Keep the sport forum separate from an actual working forum...for dogs that actual work for a living, like for LEO's and military, etc., because there are differences.

So, if I combine training and sport. And name this forum Real Working Dogs, would that work? I do worry that a real working dog forum(actual dogs on the street) would not get enough posts, but anything has to be better than this.

Well, if no other boards have a forum called that.... it might just work! LOL

Why are the working dog posters so unfriendly? They hate S.L. they dislike the words sport dogs, they hate Christians, I say try a forum called real working dogs, but only after they give us proof that they have ever bred a real working dog,Police K9.sars,ect. Also where are your IPO scores that I suggested that you real working line people produce.
At least this post just might get this forum rolling.
Have a great thanksgiving, all you Canadians.

Ok, great! Gouda's post and snarky comments should get the forum rolling. BTW, Gouda where are your scores?

Hi Slamdunc.
Got into the sport in 2003 I went to my first trial in 2005 with my 2 year old S.L. male,
80-72- 73. Just got back to training afer my knee replacement with my 6 month old show line male. I HAVE ONE OF MY SHOWLINE MALES ON THE Belleville police force. And now on the Ottawa police force. I have female that is a certified search and rescue dog. I was 62 years old when I started schH training.
Certainly nothing to brag about.
P.S. Did not do much traing beteem 2006 and 2010,had 3 heart attacks.

Gouda,
Glad to hear that you recovered from your heart attacks and your health is better. That is very fortunate for you.
So you have titled on dog to a SchH 1 with breeders scores, and a couple of your pups have gone to SAR or a Police dept, congratulations.
Besides kicking the bees nest is there any legitimate reason that you felt compelled to make your first post on this topic?

Here is my legimate reason.
To proof that the working line people dont usually get involved in any posts that does not have a lot of back biting and fighting in it. And to proof that everything has to be their way or the highway.

Gouda,
You are too funny! So you jump in on a thread to once again prove you have little to offer. Priceless.
