So, simple except for you, Max. You are still a lousy storyteller.

Mudwick ..from a violent society ....violence aginst women
in general I suppose......You are a person with defence skills.
Maybe your time would be better spent teaching defence skills, instead of
psychology....Just a thought....It's not like women need a psychologist every
9 seconds....

I can not tell a lie....I borrowed those lines from one of my
favorite movies....Good Will Hunting. The kid is a genius living
with the poor folk in Boston....Very good movie.

I have no idea why I would need to protect myself from violence against women. 

You're assuming a great many things about me. 
First, that I don't have at my disposal methods of self-defense, which include lawful firearm ownership and a permit for Concealed Carry of Weapons. 
Second, that I don't/haven't dedicated time to instructing those I care about in matters of self-defense. 
Third, that I'm not deeply concerned about the prevelance of violence in human society, and that my interest in psychology, sociology and Social Work doesn't stem directly from a desire to address the root causes of violence with an end goal of reducing violent acts in our culture.
