Hi Jan, You & your son have been having some terrible luck lately. I hope that he heals quickly & does well with rehab....they do some wonderful things for cardiac patients these days! I'm sending my prayers & good wishes.....God bless you & your son. jackie harris
Thanks for all the prayers and emails, phone calls , and posts.
My son was life flighted from ER to Tyler and was in surgery minutes after landing. BY the time I got to TYler, he was in ICU.
HE had a blockage, and the New Cardiac Unit , one of the largest in Texas, went to work and put in a Stint.
His first statement to me, was,
"Well I got to see the ROOM I put together , and what it is used for."
This building is only 5yrs old and my son was the ElECTRICIAN working for a Company , after the foot split open, and he was not able to go back to the company he was working for, because he could not be released to handle duties by the FOOT DR> SO he worked , contract , labor for this man, a friend, and they wired, and put together the 6th floor and he was the man who worked all night installing and designing the phone, lights, intercom and electrical.
Stint took and the sheath or what ever you call it was removed successfully , with sand bag in place. HIS pressure went down to 33 by the time the Helicopter got him there so it was critical.
TODAY he is up , eating, bathing, and all is back to normal but his enzymes. THE DR. told us today.."YOu have a very strong heart. YOU had a heart attack. YOU had one blocked artery and we fixed it. There is minimal damage to the muscle in that area and with care and taking it easy for about 4 weeks, your heart should mend ." IT will set back the planned FOOT amputation and his teeth removal, for about 2months. HIS suggestion was to quit smoking, and son said not now. WHEN my foot goes bye bye, I will quit smoking..RIGHT now I would be asking for sure insanity with all the pain I endure.
Tonight the Dr. said...YOU may go home by THURSDAY> if his stats stay normal and level and no more problems arise.
I am now having to do SNAKE DUTY> YES , he is the one who keeps my place .
He worked in Ohio, Kentucky , Georgia and trained 4 shepherds while there .Worked at Lockheed before the foot busted open the 5th or 6th time. He sent dogs home via plane and he came back to Texas as Workmans comp would not approve any DR> in another state..BS in my book.
His two germans are searching, howling , talking and trying to find him , all day and night..THEY are worse than REX was about not knowing where their master went. THEY are so funny , but shows the level of devotion they have for my son. Since he has not been out of his house in S. TEXAS for a year, cannot walk without a chair or crutches, they are like his shadows. He raised and trained both of these since 9 weeks old.
Thanks for all the support.''We are blessed that we have LIFE FLIGHT and DRS who are the best in Cardiac diagnosis. THEY didnt waste not one minute, diagnosing and getting him to the new Cardiac Unit in TYLER>
This happened at 3 am in the morning , as we both are night owls. Too hot in Texas to do anything in the day time, if you can keep from it.
