Preppers?
by joanro on 16 January 2013 - 02:01
Doomsday Preppers on NGCHD. It's about people who think the end is imminent by one catastrophe or another. So they prep according to the particular catastrophe they fear. It's a hoot.

I don't get but three regular channels so I don't get to see the Hoot...lol
I agree it's a hoot, there are some things you can do, but many more you cannot.
I do try to keep some food stores and a full tank of gas but hell, if Yellowstone blows we're gonna be found millions of years later in the mud with all the other fossils.
Some things can't be prepared for.
You do what makes you feel better.

ROTFLMAO @ found in the mud with all the other fossils.
We have plenty of meat on the hoof (will share ,if things get shitty), still eating fresh salad in winter thanks to green house, and two hand crank wells on the place for water if power grid crashes. But Old Faithful.... like you said, we'll be history. LOL.

I'm in the heart of the Hoosier National forest, surrounded by farms and cattle, right on the Ohio river.
If me and who ever wanted to live off the land, the resources would be depleted within a few months leaving only those damned nasty Asian carp to eat.
Plus those who would try to migrate from the big cities would be everywhere.
no win.

Here are instructions on how to make a "stove" to cook your carp:

What you should really watch is this mans full story on DVD, you'd be amazed how he lived.
I don't have the full edition but it's available online.
I saw the whole thing a few years back on PBS.
Moons.
