My new Roo - Page 14

My female ignores the chickens in the yard, doesn't pay them any attention, but if she is in her pen and they get in there, she'll kill them.. My staffie ignores them, doesn't care about them. But that little Fiest will kill the smaller chickens.. He has been having to be penned up at night and when I leave, don't trust his little butt.. Oso is the only dog I have, besides the inbred rat dog, that I trust 100% with the critters.. And I think if the mutant rat was bigger than 2 pounds, he might try and eat them LOL

I've only had one dog that I couldn't train to leave my other animals alone and it got shot for killing a peacock.
It had other problems but killing the peacock was kinda the last straw.
Again, the electric fence helped a lot with some of that.

Mostly when animals are raised together it's easier.

I think my female killing them it's a frustration thing, like she's pissed I put her in her pen. When she is loose with us in yard, she runs right by them, ignores them. But I can't leave her unsupervised, she loves to kill a goat, cat and neighbor's dogs. As long as I am out there with her, she knows to behave, but as soon as she is alone...Sneaky B word..
The Fiest is a hunting dog, he just wants to chase and get a hold of something to shake LOL.. He only does it when he is unsupervised also.. I got some sneaky, conniving mutts..
