Weather forecast was for frost this morning.. We not only had a hard frost, but had ice in the buckets. I can't remember freezing temps this time of year. With such a mild summer, I wonder if we are going to have a ' real' winter this year.

Been splitting wood all day, refilled my emergency propane tank too, just incase we get ice.
Here at least we haven't broken any records yet so this has happened before, I just think the seasons are coming sooner but maybe not any worst than recent history.
Mid twenties in the morning so I figure to be breaking some ice myself.
At least I'll be rid of most of the insects.
Now it's time to make coffee....

Weather man got it wrong again, hovered around the freezing mark and I didn't have to break ice.

yesterday was BEAUTIFUL!
weather man promised all week of sunshine and nice temps in low 70's and 50 at night....well...today it is raining....so much for accurate prediction...but i love smell of rain and smoke...

Yeah yesterday was nice here too, we took a drive and a couple of pictures.
Around here we say if you don't like the weather just wait a minute and it will change.... some sorta folksie wisdom.....lol

Big changes coming to southern OK too--we have already had several light frosts b ut Tuesday and Wed it is fixing to kick butt. Yes Farmer's Almanac has said for my area we are going to have a hard winter and snow around Turkey Day--which is very early for us. I feel it and the skies look like winter. So here we go folks--may have to break down next week and turn the heat on. Everybody stay warm.
