Ruger1 you might be interested in a series of sermons my friend did on Islam and Christianity (this man is a Christian) recently. They are very good and insightful on Islam, Christianity, the Qu'ran, Bible, Muhammad, Jesus, etc etc.   I know some think that "Allah" is the same God as the God in the Bible (Islam portrays it that way), but he explains that and soooo many other things. He's studied all of this, and  been around Mulsims for years. He is very knowledgeable on Islam and even has a couple of books out about Islam and Christianity.

But I did make out something about a day is like a thousand years.  Don't follow that interpretation if that's what he's saying.  The context in Scripture when it refers to that was speaking about God's allowing man to repent; It is showing God's patience in giving man time to repent if you read it within the context and surrounding verses.  Did you not read what I typed though? If we don't figure the fact that there are gaps in the geneaology in Genesis (which was not written to show when the world was created) and also that begat can be a descendant (Like your great grand father begat you;  Then you literally would have 8 people (the one's on the Ark) building the Pyramids in Egypt.  You would also have a lot of other people living in times which are just.....ridiculous because they clearly did not live during them. You may want to go back and read what all I said.

Dear GSDguy08,

I don't focus on that timechart that you mention, but its still gives basic understanding.   If you get into eBook, "The Biblical Age of the Earth", you will see timechart for dates after creation. However, this still does not affect the discrepancy that you mention. This has arisen, because the chronology of ancient Egypt is not accurate, as it based on unworkable assumptions, the principle one of which is that each dynasty was discreet. In fact, there is likely to have been considerable overlap.   If you will look at answersingenesis.org/arj, you will find a peer-reviewed article about Egyptian chronology, which helps explain this point and offers a better solution.

I'm wiccan......I guess I need not apply. Whew that was easy.

A Girls Message to all Christians really should be ..... A Girls Message for all man kind.... Sad that somehow it always needs division.

The day the world ends I will be able to stand up and be Thankful for all I have received and SHARED with others without suppression of threat by someone like myself who thinks they are somehow holier than I. Hopefully I will be greeted by all my rescue dogs, family and others I tried not to judge because their faith was not of my own. What more could anyone want?

SInce its always quoted (The Bible) then perhaps ALL THE CHAPTERS should be available for reading not just the ones MAN CHOSE at the time of publication. :(

Here is my very old post "When the day comes to die or when the world ends per your remark":

The theme of death: Very unpleasant to hear/say or to talk about it. But how sincere believer cannot think and talk about death? (In the Biblical World) When a sinful man remembers death, he ceases to commit sins.

Example: If all people did indeed remember more often about death, about his / her last hour on earth, it would be much less of sins, less crime, cruelty, injustice and pride in their hearts.
What is death? And what is the reason that many people try to avoid or afraid to talk about it? Why do many people stay away from this topic? Yes, because in the view of many, death is nothingness. The man died, the light went out, and it turned into nothingness. This is the view of many. “This is the foundation...This view is, of course, the result of atheistic propaganda that still left its mark in the minds of people, and the propaganda that every day in our society. Or in other words, it is a cult of the world, the cult of wealth, the cult of pleasure. It all adds a disingenuous believer that seems death is nothingness.

In fact, this is very wrong opinion of many.
Death - it's just the third stage of overall human development. The first stage its intrauterine life, when each of us was still in the womb of the mother. The second stage is the stage of life in this world, where we are today, where we enjoy and the benefits of which we use. And the third stage, that's life in the so-called "life after death", the seat of the righteous and unrighteous souls after death.

Science has proven that man is twofold: it consists of the physical body and the soul. When a person transported into a phase of third stage, life after death, the soul is released, gets the most freedom and loses all restrictions that existed when it was in the body. And so In this world we live today, the soul is subject to our physical body, and our physical body is subject to the soul, after death comes the most perfect and the most advanced form of life.

For righteous souls; Therefore, let God give us understanding of death, and that there is nothing to be afraid, but on the contrary be prepare for eternal life. And so we come back to God, as close after a long separation, and not otherwise but be in heaven with him… Amen! (Revelation 14:13 and John 3:18)

"When a sinful man remembers death, he ceases to commit sins" ?
Dream on.

Oh, and when did 'Science'  PROVE the existence of souls, do tell ?
