GSDtravels

If you are a former member and have posted on other subjects, then you have my apologies.  I did not see any other posts by you and you just kind of started spamming this thread.  I have my opinions about the health care laws, but I'm not going to solve them here, so I'm also not going to argue about it.  Let me just say one thing, you're only posting partisan talking points and if they are valid or not, it certainly is one-sided.  I'm not going to sift through it all to pull up a BS detector, so have at it.

Apology accepted GSDtavels. Yes it is true. I am partisan and probably not any more then many liberals on this forum.

Thanks again

it is annoying that you cant see history of posts in "off topic" section when you look at the user posting history.....

Barrycades = RPK = RatPackKing= RPKonig. I think you can see the off topic posts in the archives if you search using the screen name.

From the perspective of a person who signed up with it....OR tried to at least...first I work part time making under $9.00 an hour 4 days a week (and not always 4 days!). Something they didn't tell you and they said in a commercial "You don't have to pay right away to sign up for healthcare through healthcare.gov" *but* guess what? You have to pay up front if you want to use it  next month! Wow!! I have bills and other expenses right now and later down the road, I can't afford to pay $154 up front right now (the basics of what I could afford and that might change during the summer!). I used to have insurance for the first time since starting my job six years ago; I had it for one year until 2012, my hours were cut and I was dropped. They sent a letter back in August saying I still don't qualify for insurance through my company.

Basically, unless you have a job where after paying taxes and insurance, you would have that extra money to actually go to the doctor; you are still SOL when you have to pay out of pocket for things still not covered by the insurance (like implants which they consider cosmetic surgery). I need a lot of work that I have put off due to not having the money they were asking for, I was hoping this wouldn't break what little means of income I had to support myself, but sadly its only $4-5 dollars cheaper then the one I was paying for from last year. It was also a pain to get through customer service, but I was determined to get through to them. I stayed on the phone with a rep for over an hour. I just have to find a way to pay for it and make myself go get everything done, but the deductible is around $6500+ out of pocket. With dental around $500 per year, $20 co-payments, etc.

I will have to be one of the ones that says "I will wait to see it, to believe it" on whether this insurance will even be worth the headache its already causing me.
