Many Africans got "it" from eating HIV infected bush meat and receiving vaccinations using unsterile needles all offered to them by white colonists. I am certainly not as well versed on the Bible as some, but I don't think that eating or being vaccinated violates any of the 10 Commandments.

Sorry I didn't copy and paste all the articles, and that a non-partisan source isn't as exciting as some radical website, but the sentiment is correct.  Abortion has decimated  African-American population growth while the pro-life Hispanics and Muslims are thriving.  Bottom line is, groups who believe abortion is a right are eliminating themselves.

Blitzen, don't take what I said the wrong way.  I would NEVER mean that someone got it how you mentioned....or if it was passed down is at fault in any way.   I should have clarified that earlier.   And I don't mean because they have AIDs they are living in sin by any means, not at all.   However AIDs is a consequence just as STDs are in many cases of those who do participate in homosexual relations or multiple partners/spouses.  I'm curious though,  how does the 10 commandments hold authority? Or do you not believe that they do? I'm not saying they don't, I'm just trying to understand why you say that.

I thought you would be familar with the Ten Commandments, Guy, and then you could see that eating and receiving vaccinations are not against any of those rules. The violators are those who actually saw that they were exposed to the HIV virus in their food source and vaccinations. Sort of like what we did to the American Indian when we contaminated with measle virus the blankets the missionaries gave them to keep warm. Thou shalt not kill.

"Many Africans got "it" from eating HIV infected bush meat and receiving vaccinations using unsterile needles..."

I have just one point of confusion about the above quote. Everything I have ever learned about HIV contraction says, you can not get it by ingesting meat. So, I would be interested to know how you come to believe that, Blitzen.

The meat was from monkeys that carried the HIV. It is believed the virus spread to humans though breaks in their skin that allowed blood from the infected animals to enter their bodies when the animals were butchered. It wasn't the eating of the animals per se, it was the preparation. Sorry I wasn't clear about that.

we can get all "biblical" about which meats humans are supposed to eat and which we're not supposed to eat......something about chewing cud and having split hooves?  so did HIV jump from monkeys to humans becasue they were not following His ways.......

please i'm joking......don't take this too seriously.......

I am familiar with the 10 commandments, I was just asking because I didn't know if you actually  believed in them, or what your reason behind the question was.  With that said we are "not" under those commandments today as they are not under the new covenant.  But.......9 out of the 10 (the Sabbath is not mentioned to keep) are mentioned in some form or way in the New Testament.  But thou shalt not kill?......really.... Taking things out of context much, or is that sarcasm? If my car's steering jams as I was trying to switch lanes on the interstate and it goes off the road, I'm unable to stop it, and it goes off to the other side and hits you and you die.......Did I murder you? Did I "kill" you.  That's a little different as is what you stated about the missionaries as well.  That would be taking it way out of context.

Who said anything about what meats can and can't be eaten? Nothing wrong with any of the meats as far as eating goes.....I know you said don't take this too seriously, I just know some claim we can't eat certain meats today (because of things said in the old law), but that's not the case in the New Testament.    You may have been sarcastic, but that's a very disrespectful slander towards me to say "so did HIV jump from monkeys to humans because they were not following His ways".....and you took it way out of context as well.  I never said that at all.

Guy, have a nice day.. and don't eat those monkeys no matter how much you like meat on the grill.

Blitzen,  is it okay if I fry them? Totally kidding there.  You have a good day as well.
