As this crazy year is coming to a close. I am looking back at what all I achieved. I  thought this would be a good thread for everyone to show off, bragg on what they did this year.

On my young female Ozzy I got her CGC award, tested her for TDI, Earned her Raly novice and placed two Majors on her.

On my male Hanibal I earned his CD title

So lets hear what you did this year!!

Well, let's see. I can't pat myself on the back regarding the dogs in my life, other than they have lived through the year and remained healthy and out of trouble.

I got a really good job very early this spring-now I consider that an accomplishment.  I stayed out of trouble with the wife, with the law, and with everyone else it seems. I passed Calculus this summer with a "B". For my birthday I decided to trat myself and return to the physique of my youth. So I gave up the morning biscuits and have lost about thirty (30) pounds with about five (5) more to go. It's hard to believe that my waist size was 2" larger than my inseam, but I am not as young as I used to be. So I am now at 6'-4" and 190 (one-hundred ninety) pounds with the goal in sight. Damn it, I miss those biscuits! But my waist is again smaller than my inseam so the biscuits will have to suffer without me!

I did not build a new house and kennel this year, as I am still spooked by the economy and have been for a couple of years. But I did buy the land, so that much is done. And I completed the drawings for the house that I hope to build in a year or so.

So, all things considered, 2008 has been a wonderful year for me so far, and may be the best of many recent years.

Best Regards,

Bob-O

Well I didn't really accomplish alot, but considering I hadn't trained my dog(s) for anything in twelve years, I put a CD title on Ivan. We got a third and two second places.

One other thing I did, or rather did not do is sell my horses. I had seriously thought about letting them go, I hadn't rode in 2007 and with the cost of feed anymore, I just didn't feel I should keep them. But I am really glad I did now. I got out a quite a bit this summer and fall. One other thing I did was go bitless. I am now riding my mare in a Dr. Cook's bitless bridle. Not dog stuff but here is a pic of my favorite mare.

2008 was a good year for me - dog wise!  I started training my two GSD middle of 2007 for working trials. My male is 4 and a half and my bitch is 4 this month.

With him, I got CD, ITT1 and IPO1 and also Schutzhund 1 twice under a national Judge. My bitch I got ITT1, BH and came close to a SCH1, next time.

So all & all a good year!

Chaos accomplished his TDI title, his CGC a second time, to check his temperament before we went for the TDI.  Also received his Temperament Test badge from the ATTS.   And only needs one more competition win for his Grand Championship title.  The new pup will be doing much more than Chaos has done, I am sure : - }

First off Bob-O I am very happy for you !!!! It sounds like you have your crapp together!!! Your wife should be proud of you! Congratulations on landing a good job this year that in it's self is a achievement.

Vianden Congratulations on the BH's and CD.  Beautiful dogs you have.

Trailrider Congratulations on your CD title. I was like you I have not put a CD title on a dog in a few years But it was like riding a bike and a lot of fun :) You and your dog look happy working together - Me I was so nervous it was not funny :) Sounds like you were met to keep them (horses) She is very nice looking.

Jain WOW you have been busy this year!!!! Congratulations let me ask you what a ITT1 is? Have not heard of it

Shepherd women Congratulations to you too! Good luck on your GRCH.

WOW I thought more people would of gotten more done this year! Maybe they were too busy bitching and complaining on the GSD board instead of training

My plan for this year was to put a BH on my young male, get a V rating on my female, and her SchH2. Well, we didn't even try for the BH on the young male. However, we did get the V rating on my female, along with the 2008 New England Regional Vice Siegerin!!  We also earned the SchH2! We then decided to end the season with a bang, and she earned her SchH3 too! Nothing quite as satisfying as taking a puppy from birth to SchH3! Especially when it is the first dog you have trained in SchH.

A pup from one of my breedings graduated the academy as a K9 Narcotics Detection dog and is actively partnered with a country deputy sheriff. That young dog has recently begun his training for apprehension, as well.

I can't wait to get going on the goals for 2009!
