I have been researching dog breeds for 3 to 4 years now i specifically want to make a new breed to do a specific purpose. The new breed that i want to create will be using Alano Espanol, Cane Corso and Dutch shepherds. From the Alano Espanol the bloodlines that i will be using is specifically the Vengo Alano Espanol bloodline and from the Cane Corso bloodline i will be using the Del Dyrium bloodline or the Corsi di Monteanu bloodline. Im not just trying to create a breed that would seem good as an experiment this breed will have a purpose. To start with the Alano espanol is excellent at hunting and herding and is a very healthy breed but but there is a limited gene pool available unfortunately. The cane corso is not so healthy but it had a purpose for home protection and herding cattles.

I want to first start with the breeding of the alano espanol and the cane corso in the ratio of 1:1, my goal in that is to create a dog that first has excellent bone structure a big head with medium sized muzzles that are thick and has a good bite. More importantly they need to be agile and have decent speed as this needs to be a breed that is light on its paws and have a high level of stamina and endurance. The body of the dog should be similar to that of the alano espanol or dutch shepherd so you need to just barely see the ribs. After when i have created the foundation of that mix i will breed dutch shepherds to it in a ratio of 2:7 where the 2 will be for the dutch Shepherd and the 7 for the cane corso x alano mix. The ultimate goal of the breeding program or idea is to create a dog that is physically fit and has excellent bone structure and it must be able to thrive in extreme heat as the breed should be primarily used in hot countries but it needs to also manage the cold environments as well. The reason for adding the dutch shepherd into the mix is to make a dog that not only is fast and has an excellent bite because of its ears since they are upright. The cane corso and alano have floppy ears which increases the chance of getting ear infections and decreases the amount of sound they hear.

These dogs are primarily being created to work as this breed would be used for farms or even city life but the owner should know that it is a herding and hunting dog but can be also used as a guard dog in the yard or house as the breed would not be big or tall. The physical appearance of the dog is ears upright to increase the amount of sound it can hear making the dog alert. The skull or cranium should be big and the the muzzles should be medium in size and thick to allow bigger intake of oxygen since the dog will be a long distance runner that is fast as well and should have a light agile movement when walking, trotting or galloping whatever dogs do. The reason why I'm doing is the temperaments of the cane corso and alano espanol is easiest to handle than the gsd and malinois which I'm breeding in the future for another purpose for my native country as they have rottweilers as police dogs which is a terrible idea when there is other better breeds out there to do that purpose. Thanks for reading this whoever is actually bothered it would be a great help to give me some information or ideas as to what i should do.

Thanks xPyro

PDB does not create new breeds.

You need to contact the Kennel Club of the country that you live in. They will tell you the rules for creating a new recognized club.

New breeds can be made, it takes many years to do so.

If you just want to combine different breeds you can do that but they will be considered mixed breeds not eligible for club registration if that is what you want unless you follow the club rules.

Thanks for the info i know that PDB does not create new breeds its only for purebred dogs how many years it takes to make this breed. I just wanted to know if this breed would work taking into account of the health and temperaments of the dogs used in this breed would this actually work and if so how should the be bred in terms of the ratio
