HI! I'm attempting to gather information for my buddy, a fellow handler who just landed an awesome job in Dayton, Ohio. He's checking and so am I. He'll be out there in @ two weeks. He's looking for a house, 2-3 bdrms with some land for dogs/dog training. Not sure how big Dayton is or what is in the surrounding area but putting a couple of feelers out there for him. Would appreciate any and all assistance. Thank you in advance.

What exact kind of info are you looking for?

Beware that the Dayton area is home to one of the biggest dog crooks in the US.  Timothy Helser.

Dayton is a B-size city in Ohio (A-size being the 3 largest cities in Ohio; Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati)
One of the best vets for getting your dogs hips and elbow x-rays is in Troy, Ohio.  Just north of Dayton.  Dr. Lonnie Davis at Troy Animal Hospital.  He's a bit pricey, but well worth the money IMO.  A wonderful vet (and I don't like very many vets.)

South of Dayton is the Clearcreek Bauernhof kennel.  I haven't been there personally but I've heard they are a good place to train, it's one of the best kennels overall in Ohio.  They've hosted seminars of some very good dog trainers.

Rentals, property, land. The comapny is top notch. Explosive K9s, PSD and working for a CEO/President. He's looking, plus they'll help I'm sure but I'm trying to give him a jump start to the area. He has a K9 and the Company will be giving him one also.

I'll keep that in mind Hunter. I'll pass the info over to my bud. They're paying for his move so that is one less hassle he has to worry about. But trying to have options and a plan before he gets there so he doesn't have to take a place out of desperation. And right now not sure if I'm going to follow? So trying to find a decent place for him and his dogs to start off. Some individuals have sent me PMd info, now just have to figure things out before arrival. Thanks again.
