So what do you THINK was going to happen??
I still think she's a stupid, clueless bitch for exposing her dogs to the danger of police entering her property because the alarm system was triggered! I have friends who have an alarm system in their house. When they got a dog, they stopped using it. It's the ONLY sensilble thing to do if you've got a dog! :(

for all the cop knew there could have been a women in the process of being assaulted inside the home and every second would count.
sad situation but in this case, the point is here to bring awareness to this scenario.
I answer alarm systems all the time, 99.9999% are either technical faults or possums/cats....etc.
cost the owner $200 for every call out. the call comes from a outsourced monitor somewhere in India.

You're kidding...$200 per call? What if it's a genuine alarm? Do they still have to pay?

Was the entire property surrounded by fence? No doubt, the owner was stupid having dogs where they might threaten the cops. Do the cops have a house key to enter a home if the door is locked. Because how else can they enter the home when the alarm is activated and no one answers the door. Maybe the alarm should also alert the home owner when they are not home, that way they can communicate to cops that no one is home.
