Looks like she settled in nicely. :)

The positions those shepherds sleep in....

 Ohh, doesn't she just look SO uncomfortable and ill-at-ease ...
CHUCKLE !
Great picture;  well done you, Triodegirl, Maya is obviously very happy with you
and her new home.   :)

Glad to hear all is going so well and that she settled in (really settled in LOL).

That's my girl's favourite position too!  Interestingly, it's always been my girls that have settled in this position, never my boys. The boys have adopted the position for a belly rub or a good wriggle, but not for a good long snooze. Anyone else find the same? Just curious.

Abby - nope, both sexes did it when I had a dozen or more to check out;
the more relaxed temperamentally the individual dog was, it seemed,
the more likely they were to snooze in such an exposed position.  We
had a few 'nervebags' who never did, even when fast asleep.

I thought maybe the boys were looking out for their 'jewels' LOL.  My boy is very laid back, yet never sleeps like this...then again - nor do I  LOL

The Shiloh used to sleep with one back leg stretched right up the wall behind his bed.
Wish I had a photo to post.  Mind you, he didn't have a 'full set' to worry about ...Tongue Smile

I had no doubt you could work her in. Very happy to see it.

Now THAT is a happy, relaxed, and well-adjusted rescue dog! She looks so great, thanks for posting an update!
