I ordered a large amount of equipment about 3 months ago from activedogs.com, and I was quite suprised at the quality. The jute sleeve cover tore after 3 bites from a Mal? It appears it is burlap, not jute? The intermediate linen sleeve tore in 2 weeks, and appears to be automotive seat covering, nothing close to french linen? The blind did hold up ok so far and is nice ( only been 3 months, used it maybe 6 times ) but I expected it to fall apart to, but it has help up. A friend got a scaling wall that arrive so damaged she could not use it, and a bitesuit that was made of the same car upholstery? I know no one likes to hear complaints, but it is just me? This stuff is TERRIBLE! I thought since they advertised in the USA mag, it may be ok? On top of that, the site has a section for comments, so I left a comment that the sleeve fell apart, they in turn change it to say " best $50 I ever spend"??? What the heck? I had a hard time paying $50 for a sleeve cover in the furst place, but I thought it may be worth it, when everyone else sells them for $35. This one fell apart, so they change my comment to be an excellent review, then I get the looking....... there is not ONE review that is not 4 stars (highest you can have). So it looks like they write their own reviews. If they do that, I am sure they will jump on here with a few different usernames and give a good review also, but I am looking for feedback from people just to see if I got a bad batch of fabric, or what?

I have ordered a lot of equipment from Active Dogs. Some of it was not very good quality and I will not order again. A set of dumbells arrived and the wood was already cracking and was poor quality and craftsmanship. I sent them back and they sent me a second set, but it was not much better. The ball on ropes are poor quality rubber and within several days of playing with dogs in the sun, the rubber was disintegrating. The tugs have been ok sometimes and others are falling apart after very little use. I think it is important that you call them and tell them about your problems. I think they simply have poor suppliers selling them stuff and some things they make are poor quality. I will not buy their equipment again.

Maybe you should call the BBB? Sounds pretty shady to me. Thanks for the heads up.

Nothing shady with this company - just a new company having some quality control problems. None the less, no sense paying for poor quality when there are plenty of other companies with excellent quality.

Jason Thanx for the heads up, I have never bought from them but then again their stuff never impressed me either. Try Elite K9 I have never had a problem with them and good prices.

Another couple of suggestions for equipment, http://www.qualityk9store.com/ and http://www.dogsportgear.com . The customer service is great, the prices are reasonable, and the products I have received were top-notch...I am still holding on to badly abused tugs and puppy sleeves from Dogsport Gear and the new stuff I got from Matt are holding up well.
