Is there a website with the information for April?

by Kevin Geagan on 26 October 2005 - 20:10

I don't have a problem with males and females going at the same time as long as you know this WILL happen. Which brings us to the real problem is German handlers having both male and female dogs in the same age group. When will this maddness stop or how much are we going to end up paying handlers to take your dog into the ring. I heard some talk of paying handlers $1000.00 for working males..... are you crazy??? I have one dog. I'm not a breeder. I'm not like John or Julie with a whole team behind me. While I really respect these people for what they do and I know a hell of a lot of work goes into all aspects of the dogs and the show this is a hobby for me. Even then we all want to see our dogs do well but it becomes almost impossible to compete without very deep pockets. Maybe the answer for the little guy is stay home, schutzhund train, have fun with your dog and go to the national shows as a spectator but for some stupid reason I can't help trying and I'll probably see you all again in Connecticut.

Just to be clear. The Sieger Show in April will be the 21-23 (Fri, Sat, Sun). USA is working on the website now. Email me for info. Host hotel is the Sheraton, Danbury, Ct. Ask for the Sieger Show rate. 203-794-0600. JOHN

WHY is the USA Sieger Show always so early in the season? Very hard for us northerners to get the dogs ready due to weather. Michele

John...will they post also who judges which class? Thanks Michele

by wilhendorf on 27 October 2005 - 17:10

The show must be in the Spring so as not to conflict with the USA's working championships. Also, all the airlines begin their embargos so it's impossible for people to fly after that date. JOHN

Thanks.....thought embargo date was May 31...Guess some places heat up faster....THIS summer was a nightmare and nothing flew south of Boston even near the end of September!!! Will they post the judges for each class??? Michele
