Marrow will do that to dogs unaccustomed to it. It's very rich.

Sausage would be too processesd. When I used to have extra the dogs loved it. Never had issues.

I am giving a bunch of venny to a friend. My brother wants all the current meat out to make room for the new stuff. My friend (or her dog, rather) is getting ground venison, steaks, stew chunks (pieces that are edible but not good enough on their own like a steak), and even a tenderloin. It's still OK and been frozen plenty long enough to feed raw.
I don't raw feed but often make training treats or tracking bait out of the stew chunks.

I give my dogs ground venison after I have what I want. They get ground venison and some raw chunks.
They have been seeming to been doing really welll on what I'm doing. Coats are nice, teeth as well. Also, stools are always the same. However, for people tha are looking for small stools...I haven't found the answer..Poop is poop and who know's how big it's gonna be from one poop to the next.

I feed whole bones, including venison necks and mine have no problems, but I have never fed any kind of sausage at all.

Those with runs and gas slow the amount down to small amounts not so much...the drastic change of raw and the marrow and that much hitting the digestive system can cause both....gas and runs...after two or three days of smaller amounts....the digestion system is better able to work thru it...
put a little Extra virgin Olive oil on it....it is a digestion aid....
or let them drink GINGER ALE>>>>>> digestion aid for humans also..
!!! lol
Venison is a rich meat...
but I would never feed sausage ......lots of onions, sage, and pepper also......probabaly will give ME gas tooooooooo...

Yes yes yes! The dogs absolutely LOVE it ( except one). I have about 150lbs meat and bone in the freezer right now and it will be all gone by this time next week.
We feed partially raw and partial kibble. ( raw in the AM and kibble in the PM) Dogs do well.
