Don Corleone

by Don Corleone on 05 April 2007 - 19:04

I put a 2yr female for sale and she sold like hot cakes. My phone wouldn't stop ringing for days and the lucky guy who bought her said "you tell them people she's sold". I asked him to send a deposit and he said he wiuld overnight it. After a few days of no deposit in my mail box, I told him she was going back on the market. He assured me there was something wrong and the deposit was being sent back to him. He asked if he could get the dog Wednesday, which was yesterday, and I said sure, as long as he brought cash. "No problem I'll be there at 6:30" Obviously, he didn't show or call. I tried to phone several times and no answer. This really pisses me off! He might wind up with a horses head in bed with em'. If you people want to talk about dogs and waste my time, do it on this messageboard. I had to get a sitter for my kids last night because some ace has no consideration for other people. I didn' even get to see my kids yesterday and "family" is big to the "don"

Don Corleone, It happens all the time. I was recently trying to sell a dog through a breeder friend of mine and had the same thing happen. Somewhere ther must be about $20,000 worth of deposit checks floating around, cuz I never got them. It would not be so bad if people would have the decency to call and say "hey, I changed my mind...dont hold the dog for me." Shawn

Don't EVER take the dog off the market until you have the cash in hand, and I do mean cash. If they send a check, make sure it doesn't bounce before you do anything. People are scum, if you let them get away with crap, they will keep doing it. Kinda like some stuborn dogs.

Don, I had called and left a message about your female, I just lost a female with the Tom lines and would very much like to talk to you. Jim 501-680-1759

Honestly your dog is probably better off for now. Liars do not traditionally make the best dog owners.

I suspect on the buyers side that "some" of them are aware of the "risk" of being taken advantage of and back out at the last minute. Not excusing them for not having the courtsey to call and tell you they changed their mind. Some of them likely are looking at several pups and commit to both pups until they make up their minds. Either way not a good way to treat people.
