Does anyone have any information on where to purchase a "bitch-hitch" or breeding harness??
I was asked this past weekend and can't remember where I saw one listed.

A *what*? Never heard of such a thing. What's it used for--to immobilize an uncooperative bitch so she can be forcibly bred without her captors or the stud being injured?

A breeder asked me about one last week, and I remembered seeing one advertised years ago.....
I just thought if anyone else had info they might want to share it...
I personally see no need for one...but I try not to judge others...I didn't ask why they were interested...

The advertisement called it a "Breeding Harness"...the Breeder that asked me about the info....called it a "Bitch-Hitch"......so please don't even start your comments with me.

If you go to the Leerburg site, he has an example of a "breeding stand." I had a very alpha bitch once that was a beast to try to get bred. We did something simular, and after the first mating did not need to use it again, as the bitch stood. We did use it when we AI'd as it kept the bitch still and made it easy for the insemination to take place.
