Im looking to buy scratch pants, and would like to hear opinions.  My spending budget is about $250.  There are a few Im comsidering.  My current weight is 275, which is a factor.  Hortons at $160 is made to fit i.e. made to your measurements.  They seem a bit low price which makes me think twice.  Bende price $200,  they look like they would be noise when walking in.  They go up to XXXL in size.  Klin $240, they seem to look fine and they also come in XXXL size.

Looking to hear all opinions on these pants or other ones that you would suggest.  I see a lot of Dean & Tylor on ebay, not sure of the quality.  Schweikert are a bit price at $400.  They are made of Aero material, the kliens are also made of Aero material for much less money.

My husband bought the Kilns and loves them. They are very high quality.

I will say, I've had the Bende, and they didn't hold up very well.  They'd have what I consider "light" use, 2-5 dogs worked per week and were worn out in a year, all zippers broke, and tears in both legs.  Not good quality at all I thought.  Schwiekert are quality.  At least mine are and the reason I bought them was the other guys "oldtimers" in the club had them, they had them for years before I showed up and they worked a hell of a lot more dogs than I did then.  They still have their same pants years later, long after mine were trashed.

If you get the Klin Kassel scratch pants, I would have them double stitched everywhere there is a zipper, buckle, etc.  The first pair I had they came apart at the zippers on the bottom.  I returned them and got another pair.  The second pair has been better, but on the trial jacket (you have to import from Germany) the velcro is coming off, so I double stitched it too.  Great, strong material, but the stitching is not the best.  P.S. I used to wear them for training, but because I don't want to lose $500 I only wear them on trial days.
