Vicki, I was talking about what happened when moderation began on the nursing board where I used to moderate, not here.

Since it has just been stated that there are new moderators, maybe it will be ok to think for ourselves and voice our opinions even if it is different from someone elses.....Hopefully, it is a whole new group of moderators.....Perhaps if we would have been specifically informed, (not just told that thngs were gonna happen), concerning the new changes of moderators, things would not have gotten so out of hand.....Hopefully now the new group of mods will all be on the same page and moderate fairly and without personal vendettas....

I understand what you are saying, but threads often times take unforeseeable paths.  Most of the time the people that took them there enjoyed the journey.  Is it too much to ask of grown people to ignore a conversation that they do not wish to be a part of?  We all own shepherds.  That's all we are allowed to talk about?  Are we all so one dimensional?  I have enjoyed getting to know several of the people around here on a slightly deeper level.  I have even developed a certain fondness for a few of the members that was spawned from heated, non dog related discussions.  There is a saying that iron sharpens iron  (I apologize for the Biblical reference).  Dissenting opinions about politics, religion, and even dogs forges better, more well reasoned results.  Around here, lately, all we are allowed is pillow talk, which leaves us with nothing but fluff.

So, I take it, that this was not the change you were expecting? 

I believe the new mods might be able to do a better job at moderatering, but it has to start with us..... To respect  each other and their opinions is a starting point.....Maybe we need  agree to disagree...Now thats a start....
