Jenni78, that dog I am talking about was the most clear headed stable dog,
I put a lot of time and effort into social skills when I raise my dogs at a young age. Little children handle dogs differently, they pet the differently, they make sudden jerky movements, they will cuddle right up to the dogs face. They waive food around and are covered in it. Alot of young dogs will have a very high prey/play/food drive, it is up to us to get the dog under control and redirect and train into it. However, if you do not expose them as puppies, young dogs, to certain situations you could have a problem later on. I did not take this one dog as a pup to play on the slides, romp with the little ones. Because I did not "little" proof him I would not have ever had him off leash even in my home with a "little" one in the house = JUST BECAUSE IT WOULD BE THE SAFE THING TO DO. He had to much power. Just because the foundation of the dog, born with, temperment is clear and stable, they are still conditioned to situations, taught social skills. You take what they are born with and build from there.

Also when I speek of dogs with issue around kids, you are correct alot of them are fine and it is the owners with the issues, most can be worked with., this is one of the reasons that those dogs should go thru a breeders hands or a rescue so they can get proper evaul and help before rehomed. Not one household to another, without proper guidence. ( I wrongly lumped in the breeders in my first comment, sorry, yet there may be a few that should take more care.)

But not, me. You insulted the wrong one, sweetness and sunshine.

Nobody with a "bee" in their name wrote that, wlpool.  Man, you REALLY have communication issues: foul language, mis-attributing posts, making specific statements that are incorrect and then being angry that people don't automatically correct your factual errors,.......unless it isn't really wlpool but a child making all these posts.  I've wondered that before.  There's something very childlike in a lot of her posts.  Could be that.

A forum can be a "real resource for new dogs owners" only when those same new people come to the board with open minds, instead of making stupid and outlandish statements, coming here to take advantage of situations, get dogs and then hold the dog hostage when the situation did not work out, and breeding dogs when one knows little or nothing about the breed, the health issues, the bloodlines, training, temperament etc. etc. etc. Let's face it pool, you are breeding why? We all know, it is about the money.

Pool is one of the rare people who comes here, already thinking she knows it all, and who, in post after post, shows not only ignorance, but outright stupidity. For example, see the thread she started about the female dog she supposedly found with a pup. Clearly the dog is ill. She wrote about how she was going to vaccinate the dogs she took in, after several days of having it there, and when people suggested with the mother being ill it was not a good idea top vaccinate, she did not listen. Instead, she starts writing about protecting the litter she currently has. LOL She does not even understand the most basic thing about vaccination - that vaccines take many days to weeks to stimulate an immune response. IF the dog is ill and there was a threat to her litter, the smart thing would have been to not even bring the dog home in the first place. Further, simply keeping a dog separated, if it was ill with an infectious disease, would probably not have saved the litter from infection.

And this is someone who cries to USA about how she is treated here. LOL, as if they really gave a damn.  Pool you make yourself one of the laughing stocks of the forum membership just because you have a closed mind and come here not really to get information, unless it is something that helps you sell dogs.  Get a life Pool. Grow up. Open your brain and not always your mouth. Learn to write what you really mean, as often incorrect about what you write as you are.

Few of us give a damn about you, your dogs, your fabulous skills (which you obviously don't have). If you want to learn here, there are many who can help you. But if you want to continue coming here with the same lame ass attitude you demonstrated with the dog situation involving Amelia, you won't get very far. As you see, many here remember that, and by the posts in your recent threads, you have not gained any credibility either.

And here is why USA warns people away from here.  You guys just can't help but prove them right.
I would explain the bee thing, but for what?  Misinterpretation, malicious ammunition, and/or just wasting my time.  I am sorry that you can't "get it" think about it for awhile, it may come to you.

I give up, you guys keep on keeping on.  Patrol this bridge and eat the people that try to learn about the other side.  More power to you.

I had better not get a message about "how is......"  Because this is a PRIME reason why I no longer answer those threads.

Give the "bee" thing a shot. Why shut your trap now?

Another thing that just twists my panties,  Fido is a great dog all his life is is now older and moving slower and has his good days and bad days. Why do you give this dog the same amount of trust as you would a younger one. The last year of my Dad's life, he had some very strange days, would get angry over nothing, popped my Mom a good one with no warning, had days his body just plain hurt. Yet he could get around and be "normal" and in high spirts most of the time. My Grandmother, who never uttered a bad word in her life and was this little polite  polish lady, bopped this lady on the head and told her off because she took her seat. I was in shock and it must have showed on my face, my Grandmother told me to sit down, she proceeded to tell me she has been "good" all her life and it is wonderful now to be of the age you can tell everyone what you really think, she blamed this behaviour on age, her Doctor educated me to high blood pressure and personality changes. Older and sick dogs need to be WATCHED.

On the positive side, the enthusiasm for the GSD and the SchH sport is a big plus that wlpool has.  I've always liked that about her.  It's a great thing and it's really been nice to see.  I've tried to see that it's only been that enthusiasm that has made her come across as everything she touches is fabulous, but hey, I look at that as a nice change from the jaded cynics who act as though everything is old hat.

Yes, there have been too many posts wherein lack of skills and lack of knowledge has been prominently displayed, and it did turn her laughable.  But at least it's about DOGS!!!!

Windy you never answered my question why you replaced all your comments with baby pictures on those Amelia threads. You claim to stand behind your words. Honest people don't behave like that.
